Wonderful song which i like and love the best. Its my mother's favourite song. She is with the Lord now enjoying all the music of his love. Praise the Lord.

I love these traditional hymns. I miss them so much in church.
@collinrobinson56704 жыл бұрын
Why have our leaders given them up?
@thomasallen62853 жыл бұрын
@@collinrobinson5670 It is because parents and Sunday Schools don't sing them at home and parents don't teach children to sing and enjoy this kind of music. Also, when parents entrust their children to public schools, public school teachers choose secular music and rhythms because they have to be "inclusive." DEI (Diversity, equity, and inclusion) excludes hymns like this because they refer to exclusive doctrines. Can you believe a "woke" school would admit to "my sinful self my only shame ?"
@Deba77772 жыл бұрын
Me too! And too often, it a traditional hymn is incorporated into the worship set they add some modern twist to it that is totally unnecessary and takes the magic out of the original arrangement.
@mikeace4211 ай бұрын
It's a shame that you can't have both traditional and good modern. It's going to be awesome when we are worshipping our Christ together in glory with all His angels in a new tongue! He's coming soon! Maranatha!

@@mikeace42 thank you; as a child of a Hebrew Christian pastor who was brought up in the Dutch Reformed church (and Holocaust survivors) I so deeply appreciate your sentiment. My mother was a choir director, taught us all the traditional hymns. My parents have been gone almost 40 years now but sacred music and the Jewish Jesus bring me back to the days of my father preaching the Gospel and my mother singing at the piano. Have a blessed Good Friday.

As you look at the makeup of the Choir, you see God's diversity. One day soon, we will all be there, different Nations, same Savior. I'm thankful for God's mercy and his grace. I went beneath the cross of Jesus and came out a Saint, praise God!

Marvelous rendition! Love the performance and the the beauty of KZbin is that I can replay it many times as I have done. And since those charming students and director can't hear me, I sing along with them reliving my past church choir and student days-a very emotional and moving experience. Thank you, Dr. Mountford. A great performance of one of my favorite church hymns. My one complaint is the way they stop suddenly on the word "rock" in the first verse and "sunshine" in the last, and I personally think it sounds better when it's held out a bit longer.

This is indeed a very lovely arrangement. However, the original wording is "His glorious love and my own WORTHLESSNESS" not the revised "my unworthiness". The softening of the wording in this, and other hymns, is due to the sins of Arminianism, humanism and ecumenism.
@RaptureHead14 жыл бұрын
I was just going to make the same comment! But in our sinful world no one wants to think they have worthlessness! What a shame we have no worthiness! It’s all Jesus!
