I am thankful for the patches. And I so agree on Tracer, Lucio and Blaze needing some kind of nerf, although I'm not sure how to tweak Blaze. I think Blizzard did a good job balancing his talents in the past. Maybe they could just lower his HP a tiny bit and finally change him to be a bruiser, which he is played as anyway? And then nerf Burn Notice a tad bit. With these 2 changes, he would still be fun to play but wouldn't be able to behave this ballsy in team fights anymore. However, these are just my main ideas on him and there probably are people out there with more sophisticated approaches for a nerf. A hero that could see some form of buff is, in my eyes, Valeera (and maybe Butcher). Even in the lower leagues, where you think they could perform better by cashing in on bad positioning, they have underwhelming win rates even when played by mains. Especially Valeera's lvl 4 'Wound Poison' and lvl 7 'Fatal Finesse' both sound fun to play but are just weak numberwise. They are also rarely picked, so both would be an easy starting point for buffs to make Valeera scary again. Because right now, she is not. And that's just sad for a hero that is meant to be scary.

@@fishbone007 if hgc will ever return, it depends on when it will be for him to participate as player imo. I think he wants to be player as long as he can play at top level and he still delivers top level gameplay to this day.

Tracer's lvl7 stats are probably pretty skewed. Average players just don't take reload, because it is pretty clunky and too much to look for, and the ones who take it are already cooking with her

that sounds about right! I think Tracer is, just like genji a hero that is extremly hard to balance and might be still worth looking at

I think Hunter's Onslaught healing off Immolation will be quite noticable. Immolation already is the early game lvl 1 and with it healing you at lvl 4, Illidan will probably have way stronger early game presence and not be so reliant on scaling. RIP Samuro. Genji nerf is cool, and he still has the old E build to fall back on to, even if that kills Q build (which I strongly doubt) Also time to get in some Zarya games, E range seems strong and the lvl 13 buff is insane numbers wise.

Fun fact about the tracer, the reload speed isn't that much less dmg than locked and loaded AND it gives you more bombs, since you shoot more, and you can never mess it up during a stun/silence either. There are probably games where it's arguably better. So the winrate difference being this big is less the talent and more that potent tracers play locked and loaded while noob tracers go reload. The focus fire is just weird though, its worse and the least reliable :P

Maybe search radius for zarya is how far your ally can be from your mouse when you cast it rather than the range. Would be strange to have a +25% range on the spell.

Ye, i was reading up on that topic. In fact, it might be the lvl 16 Talent aoe-shield that gives it to the main target + someone nearby. I guess Blizzards wording in the patchnotes is a bit confusing. Lets wait and see until people tested it / we have confirmation

Indeed really cool to have another small balance patch coming 3 months after the last one. Also hoping this continues, completely forgot how refreshing it feels to have (slight) meta shifts again. By the way: do you think Arthas is a more viable option now after his buff last patch? Or still super niche? Thanks for the entertaining and informative overview! :)

Oh yeah, i think arthas is still quite niche but the buffs he got are noticeable - i saw some players / teams playing him a bit more. Im curious if he makes any appearance in the upcoming RCTL playoffs. Probably not, because its still quite awkward to either draft him as Maintank or Offlane, but who knows, there is some drafts where he could shine for sure!

I wouldn't mind seeing a Spite nerf, but Mephisto's old build was so reliant on the cooldown reduction on Unyielding Power that I would hope to see a Spite nerf accompanied by some form of buff to one or two of his other cooldown reduction talents. Personally, I would like to see Unyielding Power reverted to its old state, but I understand that that would be an unpopular change--I only ever saw 2 or 3 Mephistos other than me who were competent enough with the old functionality to get its full power.

The best build on Samuro is still way of the blade, which didn't get nerfed, and this might just mean illusion master gets picked more often. Although blade storm is still the best wave clear in game imo.

I wonder how this will impact the amount of Samuros we see in higher lvl Stormleague. He should still shine in quickmatch just because of the more chaotic drafts Ye, in terms of ultimates bladestorm is doing a good job clearing waves :D

As for me, I really would like to see new content, especially heroes, because I have my points to suppose, that HotS still can be reanimated. I mean, Blizzard have a chance to release it on Steam and this itself could meaningly increase a player base, which still in a pretty good state years later after game was officially shut down. May be I'm crazy, but I want to believe HotS will be alive and fully charged again. And give me playable Selendis! :D

Oh yeah, if blizzard wanted and started to make some new content it would 100% lead to a resurgence of the game - but with everything that happened in the past with hots, alot of potential new players would still be skeptical :D

@@mrhasuobs I guess, there’s a lot of ppl out there on Steam, who has no idea, what is HotS, and what actually Blizzard did to it back then. So there’s a chance, they would like it a lot. As for me, I can do nothing, but coming back into game over and over again, because there’s a ton of things I do love HotS for :)

Dont need new maps but whould love map fixing so we could you all 15 normaly or at least regular rotation (some of them need just small changes to be OK). Not only playing them just in RNG mode(QM). New heroes i whould like see even if will be only 1 per year. Is many heroes wich are not in HotS and wich i whoud love it in like Lady Vashj, Andariel, Selendis and also a lot from new ones like Lilith, Fyrakk, Kiriko, Xal'atath and more. Otherwise we talking about nerfs but what about buffs or change some talents wich are meh like Rain of (RNG) Destruction, March of the Black King, Longboat Raid! and more?

I feel like blaze is balanced in his weakness and bug.. His stun can be interrupted by everything and trying to stun around terrain is a nightmare.

Ye, its not that easy for Blaze to hit his stun as its very projected. His x2 Oil spills help big time and blizzard did make it easier in 2019 aswell by lowering the animation "Jet Propulsion [E] Delay before charging reduced from .5 to .375 seconds." In terms of stunning around terrain, the more blaze you play the better you get at it, but theres always the moment where you just slide off :D

:D i have no clue about overwatch, all i know is bringing overwatch heroes into hots was always a hot discussed topic. i would prefer blizzard kept the game alive so we still had big scale esport events :()

Zagara level 16 % damage talent needs a nerf, it's way too powerful. There's basically never a reason to pick any of the alternatives.

but genji will visit your 1on1 lane on braxis with almost no rotation time :D but ye qhira can be strong in a raw 1v1 matchup, usually quite easy to gank and if you manage to sidestep or outplay her e you can do fine with most heroes

Illusion master is incredibly strong and yet rarely picked and most often times not well executed. The issue is not balance but the skill required to make it worthwhile. I could see a +1-2 sec lifetime buff on illusions at lvl 10 to make it a more common pick but it'd be pretty op for those that have mastered microing the clones individually. Then again, I'm probably biased as a viking main. Edit: with microing clones individually I don't mean that you send one off and use that as an anchor to save your ass but to ensure that you dodge spells and skill shots while keeping the clones separated and active. If done correctly, it'll be near impossible to see which on is the real Samuro. The damage you cause is forcing your opponents on cooldowns and wasting mana before or during team fights. Once they realise they won't catch you and thus start ignoring you, you must be in their face to the point that they must try to do something about it.

@@ZiggyStarDirt-fm9ul I think your idea of high skill might be different from mine. I'm a main viking player coming from SC2 as a gm contender, multitasking and microing isn't new to me. While I undoubtedly agree that illusion master require a certain level of skill to make it worthwhile, hell, probably one of the highest of any ults in HotS. Although, if you manage to master the skill you'll realise that it's far superior than a medium reward play style. I'd argue that illusion master provides one of the highest consistent rewards of all ults in hots if you can match it with skill.
