Hat Cleaning Tip!! Clean the liner w/o removing it!!

A simple little tip for cleaning a felt hat liner without the need to pop the stitches (or glue spots) and remove it !!!

Ick. I found a Lee Fedora and the staining is grossing me out. I've done this to a few hats for my sanity but will try those type of wipes.

I have a black Danier leather newspaper boy style hat with a lining I'd like to clean. Will this technique work as well? The lining is loose and I've been tempted to try and handwash it while trying to avoid the leather but don't want to ruin my favorite hat. Should I have it done professionally? Thoughts?

Sp sorry for the late response. If the liner is easily removable I would just take it out and soak it in a bowl of distilled water and oxyclean detergent . Let it soak for at least 6hrs. Then lightly rinse with more distilled water, at room temperature. Then air dry and repeat if necessary . Please let me know if this helped 😁
