always order larger with these hats, sizes are really inconsistent, too tight and ear flaps can not be used. Really wish they added some sort of internal head band adjustment. My string method told me to order 7 1/8,way too small, 7 3/8 was the right size. Ex. 7 1/4 (adult med) 7 3/8 (small adult large )
