true, but when we are in pain and suffering it IS like we are the only ones suffering. One of the reoccurring themes of naruto is that its nearly impossible to convey your feelings to others, that we cant understand each other. We will take Sasuke's case for example. He lost everyone he has ever cared about and it was done by both a person he trusted and later finds out it was ordered by a system he trusted. His theory here is flawed because it's more than just losing everyone, it was the sense of betrayal by both Itachi and later the leaf village. This goes into my next point, we ourselves don't realize exactly why we are hurt at least not in full. When something like this happens (because it very well can and HAS happened) it can warp someone's entire view on life and everyone reacts to tragedy differently. TLDR we all experience our own hells and even though someone has it worse it feels like we are the only ones that are suffering

When I used to be a fan of this series, there was a reason I've always loved Kakashi. I still do despite my loathing of Naruto. From his mellow and calculating stoicism to his compassion and dorkiness, he feels the most human. Also, I love the fact he's the closest to an actual Shinobi the series has. He's also more about the problem solving and macgyvering. The closest magic I see him to help even the playing field is the Sharingan, Obito gave him and his chidori. Honestly, it's refreshing. It really makes you forget at times, the series' identity crisis and how it's more about shonen tropes rather than substance. At least, that's my opinion. Kakashi talking to Sasuke here is probably one of the smartest lectures of Naruto as a whole. Gotta appreciate quality wherever I find it.

Also even though both Sasuke and Kakashi were traumatized as children, Kakashi had no one pushing him onto the side of revenge while Sasuke was constantly getting pushed around by Itachi, prior to Itachi he was giving up on revenge and Naruto was a big influence on him. Orochimaru and the Sound Four finally pushed him over the edge by talking about Itachi, Itachi is basically a trigger word for Sasuke.
