When you realize that pain's philosophy is 100% right. When all the great nations felt loss and pain during the 4th shinobi world war, they all united during and after the war ended because they all felt the same loss and pain through madara and obito's plan and do not want to experience it again, thus giving birth to temporary peace in boruto. As someone who gave psychosocial support to refugees in the past I love Pain's character and was a paramedic in both Mosul as the Gaza Strip in 2014 and '17 I love Pain's complexity. He lost so much due too other parties who destroyed his nation, that he ultimately became the very thing he hated. Blinded by those emotions he took out not only high ranking opponents but also civilians. Its similair too the refugees I helped from AF and ME and during my time in those places. I've met people who lost their siblings, parents or friends in U.S. airstrikes and during civil war. They were never compensated for those losses, instead they felt attacked by a foreign entity who either directly attacked them or deliberately set up locals against eachother but they did not seek revenge. The nightmares, the screams, the feeling of almost being completely numb and knowing you won't receive justice. Pain always perfectly portrayed the sheer horror in his eyes. Its the same look I've seen a hundreds of times before. That look of pure despair when people lose family members but also the look of pure hope after reuniting with their loved ones, after we pulled them out of the rubble. The grey area where you see good people become bad people after their home is bombed by foreign countries. To either retaliate or find peace. Being invited to eat with their families and receiving gifts from their families and even flowers from children. Its hard to find out that you sometimes shared a meal with people that died shortly after. The pain becomes so agonizing that every memory, every image and even smell causes you too break down, to the point it feels almost impossible to eat, drink and even stand up. In the real world, we might see ourselves as the Hidden Leaf Village but who says that we're not the Akatsuki and the real Leaf Members are the people we invaded in the name of democracy and freedom while we all knew that national resources were looted and the wrong parties were given financial support which sparked even more division and terror amongst the local population, even locking up those who say the truth (Assange). Anyone, literally anyone can become a rebel or someone who inflicts extreme terror when they go through injustice inflicted by others, especially foreign entities. Who gets to decide whether he is from the Hidden Leaf or the Akatsuki shouldn't only be the right of Western nations and the U.S. Is it truly us who bring "peace" to the Ninja World or did we cause chaos in the Middle East and other parts of the world, the same way Pain described the fate of the feudal clans.

The greatest life lesson I learned was from Naruto. Pain as a villain really taught me about perspective. Some actions that are viewed as good to some can be viewed as evil to others. And vice versa. Justice is not an objective concept but instead a subjective construct used by people that hold power and can change based off of ones own life experiences and perspective.

The moment when pain said "Those who dont know pain will never understand true peace" before destoying the village actually makes sense now with some thinking. We live in a peaceful times because of the past, Countries use nukes and saw how big the damage is which made them fear it. Those who have experience with that damage knows that pain of using one so wars have stopped temporarily. Those are from a long time ago and most people that know that pain either passed away or in old age. So people now dont know what nukes can cause so we are nearing the part where humans will start war again and after that will have momentary peace from experiencing the same pain. The cycle continues like what is pain is saying now. We are not smart enough to just accept one another because of Racism, Conflicts, Past events, and etc. I somehow just put this show in a reality because what Pain said was the most realistic thing we have in our world so far. For people that is saying "That would never work blah blah blah you bad guy we love naruto he mc", Look at our world now, This is the world what pain would have wanted to have peace. If you made it here than thanks for reading, some people wont read that long and Im sorry since I cant help myself but write a long explanation.

@@lucasnutsubidze6566 and you are a fool to believe that the only countries with violent issues are the large ones. Even weak countries can cause strife, and often do. If not with others, then with their own people. Conflict does not have to be the size of a global war in order to be conflict. There is always violence, no matter where you are. There is always struggle. And you wish to defend the notion of "influence"? If someone influences me to shoot someone, should I take none of the blame for murder and have the influencer locked up? No. Both of us would be at fault, them for making the plans and myself for actually doing it instead of saying no. Do not be naive when it comes to reality.

Nagato was my favorite Akatsuki( and Itachi too Ukraine, Afghanistan; forcing their ideology upon smaller nations etc. Wars in Vietnam, Libya. The list is endless. Major countries fighting over resources in poor smaller nations. All this leads to great suffering on the innocent people - like Yahiko, Nagato and Konan). The countries of our world have enough money to wage wars and invest into weapons but not enough to spare for basic necessities like food for the poor. The poor perishes at the expense of the corrupt ideals of those in power. There exists so much hatred in this cursed world. As Nagato said, it's a vicious cycle, hate and wars breeds more hate and wars. The rich, corrupt selfish beings, those in the power understand no pain of the poor. In reality the rich are getting richer the poor are getting poorer. The concept of peace is unreal. It can never be achieved. The race of humans is utterly greedy and selfish. Peace into this world is just a utopian idea. Nagato made me think. I cried for the whole episode when Jiraiya Sensei was killed. But when Nagato died after giving his reasoning, I cried for him too. I don't know but the world leaders should watch Naruto once and rethink the choices with which they choose to govern the world.
