I enjoyed this video. The editing and visuals look amazing, I really like it! Wholeheartedly agree with the Hatch vs. Fertility Rates: some breeders that claim high hatch-rates will only set themselves up for failure because of the many factors you've mentioned. It's a really interesting idea to start to take notice of the actual fertility rates and learn how transportation and other external factors might influence this. Can't wait to see more videos like this one :D

Nice information but yet we have no control over fertility rate as it is up to nature ( the roo) to make it all happen

If you are a breeder you actually do have some control over fertility. Breeder group ratios and testing for fertility prior to shipping will ensure good fertility rates and hatch rates. If your roo isn't doing the job, replace him with one that will.

what do you do to keep snakes out of your cages? we are on our first hatching and the snakes keep killing a baby bird and leaving them in the cage. we have killed 3 corn snakes in as many days. how do you stop this? the cage is made of 1/2"×1/2" hardware cloth. I need your help. I'm in central Florida on a canal. thanks in advance.

Does a heavier egg mean that the chick would be stronger or healthier? I just recently got a jumbo quail egg but it's the only one. As all my quail are similar size is it possible for smaller Quail to create larger eggs on odd occasions?
