@sirBrouwer
@sirBrouwer 4 жыл бұрын
@@oomfoof7294 yes. I think 6 people in a podcast unless very scripted won't work. you have 5 people that constantly need to be silence.you can have like in real life have like two ore more conversations going on at once. or you need to record them separate and play them back separate. 3 is really the best number for a podcast. Even when there has been a 4th here in this podcast you will see that one of the lads will be more silence then the other. take in mind there are people that only hear the podcast and don't see it.

I work at a grocery store. Saw a mom with an infant in its carrier [that also acts as a car seat. It's one of those clip in and out, usually used for newborn-6 monthish] and had the carrier in the cart. Also in the cart was the following: A banana, A canned good, and 4 bottles of wine. That's what she came in for. Of course she walked the store before checking out. Mother of the year. Thank you boiks for being a little bit of sanity during this crazy times.

Smith, you can own guns in the UK, you just need a firearms certificate and a gun cabinet. It's really not that difficult as long as you've not got a criminal record and it's the exact model of responsible ownership you described. Can't have handguns but lets be honest, shotguns and rifles are way more fun

Tele-evangelists exploiting people is very related to twitch streamers and viewers, where it can be even worse, as those that are vulnerable for attention get it throug a streamer giving them a shoutout or having donation to speech. But I do think it has gotten alot better as many streamers go out of their way to tell people that if you dont have the extra cash to spend, then you dont need to (atleast those I watch).

Smith, a country limiting individuals' freedom isn't necessarily a bad thing - within reasons. You said it yourself; you enjoy the peace of mind of not having to worry about getting shot in the street. Why do you want to have guns? Because guns are fun? Well is it worth it to have the rate of gun violence increase to indulge you in your fun? Or is it because you want to protect your property? Well, how safe are you really when every other guy also owns a gun? To live in a functioning society we constantly sacrifice our freedom all the time. I don't understand why people (especially Americans) get really fixated on the concept of 'freedom'. I know you work your ass off to earn money - but part of it must go towards taxes. I know that car is yours, but you have to drive in accordance with the rules of the road - and no one cares if you think you're a skilled driver. I know that land is empty - but you can't just build your house there without the proper legal procedure. You see what I'm saying?

Vocal minority thing. And that's a beef I have. Every time a nutjob says something preposterous, the majority of sane, non-fanatical believers keeps quiet. If they were to make loud noise saying "yo, this ain't it chief", this kind os misinformation would not happen.

Same. When I broke my leg two years ago and couldn't walk without mind-shattering agony a couple of years ago I taught myself to knit. I have so many tacky jumpers now, it's great. I've been thinking of getting myself a power rack these last few weeks so I can maybe get a bit fitter, but because I'm stuck making literally no money I have to try and justify every purchase I'm making in my head.

i love that people of modern religions like christians, muslims etc laugh at stuff such as egyptian and norse gods and shurg it off as myth, but the fact is things like norse gods and religon makes a lot more sense than a lot of modern religions

I remember an art history professor of mine once told a packed lecture hall of ~200 students that the Ancient Greeks "didn't actually believe" in their gods and myths. She said something like "just think about it, they obviously aren't depicting beings and events that they see as historical. They were like stories and moral guidelines more than an active practice or belief." I thought that sounded oddly biased, as I admit from my perspective it's hard not to feel that same scrutiny towards every religious belief system. What makes the modern extant religions rational to believe in by comparison? Literally nothing. Ancient peoples had just as many reasons to believe and practice what they did as people do now. Not only did Greeks believe in their gods, they were terrified of them. They were basically never NOT practicing their belief, because of the fear of the consequences on their lives if they didn't do so properly.

In terms of the Norse religion / mythology, like with the anicent Greek, Roman and Egyptians mythologies/religions. Atleast in my eyes are far more reasonable and understanding as a belief system rather than the monotheisms which are still around today. Like Smith said, they were primarily built on the basics of their societies and then over the centuries myths and folklore developed into one large mythology. Rather than this one 'holy scripture' which depicts an omnipotent being of seemingly endless power.

Idk about you guys over in the UK, but Australia closed it's places of worship weeks ago. And the way you portray Christians isn't how any of the Christians I know act like, and I've been going to church for a few years now. They're definitely the extremes. After watching all of this, I really don't think you understand a majority of Christian culture....

It's all anecdotal. There's a lot of Christians who do act the way they talked about it, and your experience being different doesn't nullify their existence. Every group has their fanatics, and unfortunately they're a LOT louder than the good people. You also have to remember that there's a lot of different versions of Christianity and they all look at things differently with different customs and culture. Just look at the Westboro Baptist Church, that's a Christian branch that's more or less a pure hate group.

With regards to the no guns in the UK... I hope you know there are plenty. Banning guns for citizens is just that, a ban for law abiding citizens. Criminals will ALWAYS get their hands on guns, regardless of what law you write on a piece of paper. My two cents.

What the hell happened to this podcast? These are the people who once performed an impromptu sketch about lizards jizzing in the ISS, and one about an irate customer shitting on his bank manager's desk, who are now reduced to huddling in their homes like the rest of the virus-panickers, rehashing hearsay on a variety of topics and praying that they don't die of something that has an almost 0% chance of doing them any real harm. So sad.
