It looks like they run a class operation, thank you McMurray for allowing the tour - it speaks volumes when a producer allows cameras because they must be confident and proud of their operation, and that says a lot these days. I hope they've been able to weather the storm with the avian flu that plagued our country recently.

Thank you for spot lighting Murray McMurray, this Iowa gal appreciates it! Please pray for Murray McMurray Hatchery, they have had an avian influenza outbreak in some of their breeder flocks. Please pray for peace for their hearts and preservation for the flocks genetics. Many blessings to you!

This is great. For years, I worked at a farmers Co-op. We sold chicks, and we also had a division that produced layer poults, so we received lots of chicks. I wondered how they were produced, but I never knew. Thanks for the tour.

McMurray and others are absolutely astounding....105 varieties and 50 thousand eggs a week! The amazing egg machines are not the ultimate ingredient....it is the dedicated human beings that make this all possible. As a small time incubator/propagator, I salute you, and all of the family-owned hatcheries that give us wondrous chicks to start with! Gooooooo Homesteaders. Good Luck to you.

Thank you for doing this tour. It's so cool to see how they process their chickens and it was informative also. I did not know they shipped across the whole u.s. (thanks you also McMurray hatchery for allowing this tour). When I was a young child our school field trip was to the Holsum bakery wow so cool for a child to see and learn how things work. So this brought back a good childhood memory and gave me a new one. Thank you so much. And congrats on your new homestead.

I commend you and your family for how hard you’ll work to have such a big place yet you keep it clean and sterile for the chicken LOL proficient you have learned to make everything so that you’re able to ship the checks out alive and we see them alive. I was very impressed with a variety chicks you have, and I really appreciated being allowed to come into your building to see everything that goes on. A lot of businesses do not sustain themselves for over 115 years or whatever you said it was but you can be proud of yourself as I certainly am. My least favorite things to do on the farm was gathering eggs and cleaning the chicken coop because I had asthma and I could NOT STAND THE SMELL…Now everybody has learned what causes that and how to prevent it and I’m so happy for that because no I could go into the chicken house especially one as nice as yours! Thank you for all your hard work and congratulations to the gentleman that has been with you for 42 years❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ that’s truly amazing loyalty. God bless you and continue doing what you do to keep baby chickens into the hands of the farmers♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ PS I really like the little cream colored ones with the black spots. Can’t say I ever saw those before💕
