Capitol police tried to stop them once they were inside, but videos show that those terrorists acted very violently against cops (or anyone judging by bombs and gear to take hostages) But it is true that on national level the reaction was very strange. Even those who wanted to send their guard teams in, were not allowed on federal level, national guard came hours after they should have.

As a young black female, who always views both “sides” of a situation and is the future. I am extremely disappointed by this behavior, but for some reason, I am not shocked not even in the slightest way. I always see these things in America that will effect me and the innocent people that has nothing to do with it. People my age try to help and include ourselves to causes so we can keep our families safe, but nobody will help me or the other young adults because apparently we have no sense. But when you look at stuff like this here and when you link it to your everyday life, it seems like a lot of the adults are worse than what they say about the young adults. They put us down and then turn around and do things that are so reckless and unnecessary. It really makes me think; what is going to happen next? What is going to happen to the kids and the elderly? Because apparently they are just getting started.

On another video where someone mentioned that stark difference between how law enforcement treated BLM vs how they treated these knuckle draggers, there were people posting"here we go with the race card." I swear, I really don't understand how anybody in their right mind can't see that the situations were handled completely differently. BLM protesters were consistently met with riot gear, tear gas, batons, rubber bullets and even tanks! Meanwhile, some cops were literally holding the gate open and taking selfies with these people yesterday. One of the few arrests they made was a guy who repeatedly punched a cop in the face, yet somehow they still managed to just arrest him and not shoot him or kneel on his neck until he took his last breath. Why do people continue to turn a blind eye to the truth and just start screaming "race card" whenever someone is legitimately discussing true racial injustice in this country?

Secret Service protection should be conditional based on how you performed as a politician. Also, if your words/actions cause the the loss of life - then you should have to pay for said protection. The taxpayer should not be responsible for the bill.
