Different music Different priorities. I would say in metal lyrics come in second place behind melodies,heaviness,atmosphere and pure adrenaline rush. The guttural screams of the vocalist represent something like a commanding figure that roars to you and summons you to Battlefield. The meaning behind the Words is to somewhat Different then meaning of metal music. It's hard to explain in words honestly. If you feel it you feel. Besides.....a prefer to have problem with understaning lyrics then understaning if smth that i am listening is actually music and nowadays that seem to be a bigger issue Imo
