Hatrix - It's Not Hard To Hate

Jerry Nothings old band Hatrix was my first listen of him. I really dig that touch of opera in his vocals. Not like Geoff Tate. Not dissin Geoff Tate, by the way, but hes got a bit of that operatic voice. And he uses it very cleverly. He makes it sound like the to genres were meant to be together. I have actually shared a stage with him once in Houston. He has a unique ability to....well like a driving sort of guitar sound. He has drivin vocals sound. But he can do the hardcore grimace real aggressive metal vocals also. He can at any time sing that hardcore screaming vox. Dont think he cant. He has outstanding range and projection too. Hes gonna blow speakers if an inexperience sound engineer is not there to adjust levels when needed. cause the volume he sings with is just as dynamic as his talent. Simply put, hes one of a kind.

Oh......Jeff and Skinny decided to let....ummmm.....Jeff & Skinny, play....Jeff & Skinny (Hatrix) tunes......featuring Gravy (Dave Felton) from Shroom playing.....um......Dave Feltons (a.k.a. Gravy) guitar parts......Man, you'd think they'd need written permission from the band or something to pull something like that off. Wow dude.

damn...they didn't do that in kent....i saw the hatrix reunion show but i wish i could see them again since i'ved heard more since seeing them
