Hatsan bullpup shot gun handle falling out?!?

I have one of these but haven't shot it yet. Saw ur video and pulled on mine and sure enough it came out pretty easily. I used my dremel with the silicone grinding bit to deepen the notch a few hundredths. I kept the bit at a 45 angle to deepen the flats and kept the edge of the bit in the point of the notch so it stays in line. Not much grinding needed but now it take more to pull it out so I dont think it's going anywhere when I do go to shoot it. Only did one side for now but it's a definite improvement.

al momento , l'unica soluzione sicura per non perderlo è staccarlo dopo aver armato il fucile e metterlo in tasca. bisogna pero' ricordarsi ogni volta, peccato è un bel fucile ma questo difetto è grande!

i painted my charging handle red in case it ever decides to fly off. that way it should be easy to find in the grass or dirt or whatever.

I think it was your comment on my other video that I mentioned in this one. It's a great idea... The only thing I added to it was that someone could also just paint the half that engages the slide mechanism. That way if they didn't want to see the red all the time it would only be noticeable if it did fall out. Its a great idea though!!!

Yes, great video! I appreciate the work you put in trying to help me. However, I shot it for a second time last weekend and sure enough…! Popped right off at the very last round. Getting frustrated with this issue. I’m thinking the tolerance’s are off or different from you’re weapon. Charging handle play is more than yours, as well as, force required to snap in and out of detent housing. It only takes me changing out with only one hand. Possibly entertaining a local machine shop to drill and tap for a set screw making it accessible via top pic rail. Other than that I’m not happy about this. Basically a paper weight at this point. 🤦‍♂️

Or a good gun smith! They can measure the charging handle and detent housing and if the handle is undersized, build it up with weld and machine it to fit!
