@aaroncantrell88195 жыл бұрын
Hope you had a merry Christmas. Weirarch is a well respected brand and most springer benchrest shooters us that brand exclusively. I think that the BAS 10th is a bit pricy at abut $1,200. If you are going to spend that much I would do my research as there are some great guns at that price out there. I must admit that after I got my first PCP I shot it so much that when I picked up my springer and shot it I actually was surprised by the noise and vibration. Gave away my two springer after that. So be carful a PCP will spoil you. Thanks for watching.

@@aaroncantrell8819 Hi aaron. Many thanks for your reply. I definitely agree that the effort required to hit and stay on target is easier with a PCP than any springer. Yes, the price of the BSA 10th is quite expensive and comparatively I think the WH110 offer better value for money. @@allaboutpcpairguns7069 it is heavy! A little louder than I thought it would be, but it's my 1st .25cal pcp. I have nothing to compare it to but my 2 other pcp's, the Urban22 (which was my 1st pcp and I lobe that thing!, so does Aaron, he did a video review on the Urban22 and said it might be his newest favorite!). It's ridiculously quiet and very accurate! Unregulated, but I found that HUMA offers one on their site, so Aaron you might be excited to check into that? My 2nd pcp was the Hatsan Flashpup .22cal. That's really nice as well, but there's a few small things I need to do to improve that gun. Add a regulator (HUMA) and maybe tweak the cocking lever (mod it to be slightly longer to ease the cocking. My trigger finger is missing 1/3 of the end and just doesn't feel right for me). Not sure though on that weight as I will be taking it small game hunting. 10.5 lbs is pretty heavy to lug around all morning. Which model would be recommended for field carry being more prevalent. All sorts of reasons to go with 25 cals over 22s... better in the wind, I don't have to worry about shot placement as much, and they seem to hold their energy at longer distances. I likes my 25.

I agree that the higher the caliber the better it performs in the wind and hold its energy better. However I find that's I need all three calibers. When pesting on farms with animals and structures that can be damaged I find that a .177 can get you a permission every time. But when hunting things like pigeons, crows and larger animals I find that you cant beat the .22 and .25 cals. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the video and info on these guns. I have the Bullboss in .25 that I think is similar. I have thought about regulating it but haven’t made up my mind. Have both reg and unregulated guns, I have noticed a poi change in cold weather with the regulated gun and not the unregulated gun. The unregulated Bullboss does have a poi change as the pressure drops after about 15-18 shots or so as does the velocity, however, the regulated guns always have to shoot 2-3 shots before I can get them back on zero. Regulator creep...maybe...temperature changing the scope?...possible, but doubtful...all the same scopes, but still could be. Kinda leaning towards the regulator and density of the air due to temp. My backyard is only 37 yards so it’s not that big of deal. I am just curios to hear your thoughts on the matter since you also have experienced both these type of guns. I have my .25 tuned to shot the H&N Hunters at just at 900 and only have about 1 or 2 turns left on the hammer spring. The gun does have an anti double feed system and the only gun I own that has it. Sadly, it is borderline backyard friendly and I js to put a DFL Ronin on it that clipped like crazy and had to be modified. It helped but at great cost for adapter and moderator. Not sure it was worth the investment and now won’t fit any case I own with it on. Anyway, just wanted to ask your opinion...regulate it or just shot as is? Thanks and sorry for the long read again. On lockdown over this virus crap and my mind is going a million miles an hour and bored to death. Crappy weather outside and thank goodness for KZbin airgun videos like yours or we would all go crazy. Thanks again take care, stay well.
@aaroncantrell88194 жыл бұрын
I put a regulator on my Hatsan Glatus .25 because the shot curve was driving me crazy. I would be shooting and in the beginning the pellets would hit low and after a while the would hit center and after a while it would start to hit lower and lower. But the regulated gun would hit center every time until the psi fell below the regulator. So I would always choose a regulator. I can't speak to how the regulator functions in cold weather because I never take it outside when the temperature is under 45 degrees. The virus is driving me crazy to but working my guns and shooting them in the back yard is keeping me sane.. Also my KZbin channel helps also. Thanks for watching and for the comment. .

Aaron, I forgot to ask one more question. Have you heard of the Hatsan Airmax QE? It's a bullpup, wooden stock, 400cc steel bottle to a 90cc tank combo. I believe they go for approx $650 on PyramydAir's website or you can get a refurb on Hatsan's site for $450 (when they get more in stock, they have an notification alert set up if your interested for when they get more stock). I'm thinking of getting a refurb in .25cal, lots more shot count with 490cc's of air. Not sure if there's a regulator yet for the Airmax or a carbon bottle upgrade? Thanks again Aaron and Ken

Great review Ken! I have a Hatsan Gladius in .22 cal, and I absolutely love it. I shoot a LOT, so, the fact that they come with four magazines is also a big plus! Mine has a .25 cal DonnyFL Ronin supressor installed, and the thing just whispers. Actually, it can be seen on his site now - on the Hatsan QE 1/2 x 20 Adapter page. =) For years, I had my sights set on an FX Impact. I saved up my cash this year and . . . . Decided no way. Instead, I got a Hatsan Gladius and a Kral Arms Puncher Breaker .22. Total cost - about half that of an Impact. Then I used the other 1/2 of the money to get a Yong Heng compressor, and now a brand new 88 cf scba tank fill setup. Both rifles are also fitted with quality bipods, optics, and have extra magazines. All that, and I'm probably still ahead. Tons of fun, and glad I made that decision. You nailed some very good points about these rifles, and I couldn't agree more. They are a bit heavy, but, through winter I'm only bench shooting mine inside.. I'll worry about the weight in the spring when I'm lugging it around outside. haha Sam -

Myself,I would rather save a Ton of money...and if I Ever felt the need to "impress folks", I would do so by hitting what I was aiming at. I used to be on a dart league and after watching/listening to Harvey Milquetoast brag about how much his fancy-schmancy darts cost, I Enjoyed the Hell out of waxing his ass with my $20 non-mechanical stone age po-boy darts! At the backyard option up to maybe 30-40m. Therefore the sdb should be very quiet. I like your quiet target made of clothes an a hard paper box. Thanks for any suggestions and great owner whos shares his knowledge! Best wishes and always accurate shooting Rene

Great video as usual ! Your video has really made my choice easy I was leaning towards the Flashpup BUT with all of the extras that come with the Gladius I have no question about getting it , I am selling my Belgum Browning Lightweight 12 shotgun and getting it as soon as it sells .

Great choice. I love the price at $350, its light weigh and it is very quietness and accurate. Good luck on selling your gun and getting your Flashpup. Thanks for watching.

@aaroncantrell88196 жыл бұрын
I do not hunt at night but I have lots of video of animals using my night vision equipment. I posted some of it in my past videos. I did two different reviews on my night vision setup in the past. Current I am working on a video on my new ATN 4K. Hope to post it in a few weeks. Thank for asking.

Hatsan is an amazing rifle. I LOVE them !!!! All of the ones I own are .177's and have PLENTY of power and hitting strength.
@aaroncantrell88193 жыл бұрын
Have you tried the .177 H&N Baracuda Hunters in 10.49gr. Both my guns love that pellet and it hits very hard also. Thanks and best of luck.

all this videos would be me much more interesting if they would shoot a 6mm plywood at say 10 yards, (fixed not loose) and then at further distances, and see up to what distance it would puncture it. 6mm play wood, that's not a thick one.
@aaroncantrell88193 жыл бұрын
Why should I do that. If you need to know all you need to do is to see the pellet weight and the feet per second to figure that out for any gun. Also we don't hunt plywood. Just saying. Thanks for watching.
@medusa2105623 жыл бұрын
@@aaroncantrell8819 look this is not an important topic for me. But I know nothing about pallet weight, nothing about speed of bullet/pallet. Nothing about killing animals, I am a carpenter so I know how hard 6mm plywood is. And here in Australia is hard to own anything that shoots.

Thanks for informing me of the problem of shooting in Australia. I have watch Meathead Marksman video on laws there and now I understand the history and the gun laws there. Thanks.

Not really a fan of Hatsan I had 3 returned 1 and sold the other 2. They are heavy jams easily the trigger is just terrible and the stocks are all cheap and ugly in my opinion. Ataman all the way guys they make quality pcp air rifles.
@aaroncantrell88194 жыл бұрын
I purchased the Gladius after watching a review done by Airgun Hunter Extreme. I added a regulator to lose the shot curve and to get more shots. The only problem I had with it was it certainly was too heavy. So I sold it at a big loss and purchased a P15 with the money. I learned form the Gladius and my Impact not to listen to just a few people but to really research the hell out of a gun before purchasing it. Thanks for watching.

Heavy Hatsans. Too many pounds in weight, unless you are Superman. Lol. O rings come with it hint, hint. Lol

Sorry this is so late but I just saw your comment. You are right that is why I sold my .25 cal and purchased a P15. It weighs half as much as a Gladius. Never had a problem with the O rings. Thanks for watching.
