I own this Jet 2 .22 myself and the front cap on this gun will come right off no probe needed. this is a 10 to 20yrd gun max for good accuracy but you can do 20yrs with a decent group. it will reach out to 30yds but the shot groups pretty much suck at that range in my opinion in the testing I have done with it. I think I got 3 or 4 good mags out of my gun but can't remember I was also shooting the JSB 15.89 pellets. I will say I would not have a problem taking out pest at 10 to 20yrds max with this gun. Also this thing is loud and I mean it has a bark for sure so you will definitely want to get a moderator for it. I also own the umarex Noto's and hands down the notos crushes the jet. I love the Notos and it has great accuracy I have shot the Notos at up to 40yrds with great accuracy. In my opinion if you are looking at the Jet 2 or the Notos buy the notos you will not be sorry and the notos is so quite all you really here is the action click of the rifle. I like it so much I am going to buy another Notos as soon as more are availible. But back to this gun I am not sad I got this gun and for a little short range truck gun or back yard pest gun it will work well. Oh ya the Iron site's on the jet work really well as well just FYI. Anyway that is my 2 cents.

Shot curves should be a thing of the past honestly. For the small cost overall of adding a regulator to any platform I think companies making unregulated guns are cutting corners and not finishing the job. Just my personal opinion. I prefer a regulator and won’t even consider buying any PCP without one or more. Similar to my Diana Bandit 180$ good for 3-4 mags at 20-25 yards. Past that 180 Bar is it and only for a single 7 round magazine. Get the Notos! That reg means accuracy you just can’t have consistently without one. I totally agree Rick.
@AnoNymous-p5y9v10 ай бұрын
Adding a regulator to an unregulated airgun will cost you close to $100. If an airgun is not regulated I am not buying it, unless it is much better in some other ways (very cheap and accurate for instance).

A very helpful review for me personally since I have been trying to balance up between some of the pistol/micro-carbines out there and your review of this and the Notos have been so fair that I feel like I was actually shooting the guns for myself.

Rick, the cap surrounding the foster nipple comes right off it's threaded. The adapter isn't needed. Just like the Notos a lighter pellet is a better option. I have 2 Jet's(.177 & .22) and the Notos since December. The 14.5 Rifle's or the 14.35 JSB's are a great choice. My Jet II get's a tad over 800 fps for the first 2 mags. I enjoy the Jet's so much I plan on buying the .25 to round out the battery.

Appreciate. I got refurb Jet One at really good price with really good open sites. At 20 yards being reasonable, don’t need a scope. I also got an extra refurb cylinder- love the hot swap. Extra cylinder is tiny- can tuck it away anywhere. It’s price, durability, accuracy out to 20, it’s great fit for me to literally toss in the truck.

Neat little gun. I appreciate your honesty on these reviews. I'd been looking at this and the Notos, not that I need a replacement for my P-rod, but ya know, these things are addictive. I love my P-rod, fill it to 2650, get 2 mags with 20 fps spread and 1/2" groups to 40 yards shooting 14.3 CPHP I get at Wally world for $6/ tin.

Got this from pyramid air 25. I’ll have it tomorrow. Mainly for my backpack. On the way back from grocery shopping. I got the jet one from pyramid air. My P 16 needs some work so I need something with a little backbone. I’ll put my Donny FL moderator on it just to stay out of trouble.
@montizzlefoshizzle7131 Жыл бұрын
If you're using the jet 2 as a backpacker, I would recommend looking more into semi auto action like the AEA HP SS or hatsan sortie with pellets like the H&N hornets. Bolt action and side lever is a bit too slow in a dire situation but something is better than nothing 💯

Rick I have the Jet 2 in 22 cal. And I shoot the 18.1, they are more accurate and more consistent. Out to 30 yards Getting 28 shots per fill.

Plus the Notos receiver is made from metal. I think when this pistol premiered, it was shown as a fully CNCed version; of course very expensive to just pushing them out made of plastic (no matter what the plastic). I'd be more interested in the guts of this thing and to know are there O-ring seats against plastic parts? I suppose though it may be tricky to show this on YT without some breach of T&C's???
@Alex-oy6wb Жыл бұрын
Jet 3 was announced. Regulated version.
@bctpcp9546 Жыл бұрын
I guess it depends upon what one wants to do with this pcp pistol. If one wants real consistency then it would have to be a regulated model surely as you indicate. This is for someone who just wants to blast something, probably higher energy output than the regulated version but less consistency it's probably their thing. If you were shooting this at 20 yards then certainly the accuracy is there. Great review.
@donpeer4477 Жыл бұрын
Rick, The group you shot looks to be about 1.5" which, for a 7.9" barrel is really good even if the shot curve isn't flat. More than half of my PCP rifles are unregulated and familiarity is the rule - when you see hits start falling, recharge! ;) Heck, UK airgunners shoot rabbits and other pests all day long with less than 12 FPE...

Question : If the cylinder are full of air, and you still have rounds that you don't plan on using, is there any way to leak/bleed the air out of the gun? From what I understand, if you keep the air in the cylinders while it's not being used, you can damage the seals. Anyone?

I own the Jet 2 and Notos, but my complaint is this, what good is a gun if you can't get extra magazines besides the one that comes in the box. I'm going on four weeks waiting with no word to Utah Airguns from Umarex when they will get them from back order. What's up with that? I have six magazines with no problem and fast delivery from Amazon for the Jet 2. Amazon don't even have the Notos Mags for sale. Could someone look into that?

Get a Carm Magazine, they have 6, 10, 12 shot capacity and a single shot loader. Two weeks to get to Michigan. No cover to spin, drop in pellet, rotate, repeat. I bought 2 12 shot mags, they are great.
