I'm going thru a major retailer's airgun catalog and looking at YT for info on some of the listed pellet rifles. Virtually every rifle has fairly serious deficiencies. There's no other market like the airgun market. Buy a $450 or less airgun and you might have to start asking for fix-it information the same week it arrives. Now go buy a Japanese motorcycle. Lube the chain. Ride it to Washington State, lubing the chain daily. Check the oil every day. As soon as the bike is broken in, take it to a few drag strips and see what times it'll turn. Then ride it to Florida. You won't have a real problem one. By the time you get back home, maybe the pellet mfg will have returned your call about what parts your new 2 months old air rifle needs. The pellet gun business is crowded with guns taken 85 yards toward completion of a fine pellet pusher, but then dropped. An Airgun Consumer's Report is needed. There's no other market like it. Thankfully.
@pyramydair2 жыл бұрын
It's not that every gun under $450 will have a problem. It's more common to see people complaining about the issues, rarely people take the time to post a success story, simply if the gun works. Kind of just part of the expectation.

When I first saw the title I was thinking hot damn...Hatsan has made a multi pump like the Aspen. So I was a little disappointed right off the bat. But.... I think the design is completely awesome. Although I think they rushed getting this out. there are so many things they could do better. The idea is there but it really needs some fine-tuning. it does seem strange to me that they came up with this design when they already have the Barrage. but there are a lot of people that love a lever action out there and I'm one of them. The Winchester 3030 is one of the sweetest rifles you could ever fire. Hatsan still continues to innovate in the air gun world. The only thing I would like to see them do.... Is to come out with a big bore that pushes the 400 foot-pounds of energy that other companies have done. The Hercules rifle is no joke....I would love for them to take that design and platform to make a rifle that pushes 500 foot pounds of energy.

The hatsan flash got good reviews ? Let me tell you about mine the first one I got from P.A. in 25 cal. Only shot low to mid 700s with 20.06 gr. Pellets it should be shooting 825-870 fps with the jsb 25.39s so back it went to P.A. the 2nd one I got was tested by hatsan and its shooting 785 fps with the jsb 25.39 not to bad BUT ! It leaks are like a sieve it won't hold air at all and now Pyramyd Air is telling me to contact hatsan ?! And Ive been trying to call hatsan for 3 days now and it seams like no one works there thay won't pick up the phone ! And if I ever get hold of anyone there I know what that will tell me ( send the gun back ) but I'll have to pay shipping on a brand new gun that's bad out of the box ! I did not build the gun or send it out a faulty gun like hatsan did so why should I have to pay to send it back ? It seams like P.A. is passing the buck on this gun to hatsan and I'm very disappointed in P.A. I'm starting to feel like that got my money now that don't give a crap ! With the 2 in a row bad out of box flash's I'm thinking hatsan sold out to gaom !!!

You don't need the (lame) intro. Solid review. I understand why you did 5 shot groups, and props for explaining it, but each group has a flier and I kinda wanted to see a standard 10 shot group. Does the under level action allow you to stay on target better than side lever? Neat that is faster. The curve and limited shot count highlights the need for a regulator.
@tylerpatner65915 жыл бұрын
For me, as the shooter, those weren't flier. That said, I can tell you sub 1" 10 shot groups are achievable at that distance. The underlever was so easy to operate and requires less position breaking on the shooters part, so yes.
@allanwind2955 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify, sub-1" 10 group shots at 45' is just expected performance, and I should not read anything into the particular pattern?
@tylerpatner65915 жыл бұрын
@@allanwind295 I wouldn't say expected performance, because all guns and shooters are different, but for the gun we tested, I have put 10 rounds, sub 1" at 45 yards with it. Usually, if there is a flier (whether it be my fault or maybe a bad pellet), I will call it out.

@@rickrakdixon8922 Glad you like your Flash. We try to do as good of a job as we can with the gun we get to review. Nothing wrong with 3/4" groups at 45 yards, though some folks just love to hate. H&N Baracuda pellets work better from my experience in Hatsan air rifles. JSB's are not bad but not as good as H&N. The Piledriver in my 22 cal Flashpup hits hard and not bad on accuracy. Penetrates (3) 1 gal milk jugs at 20 yrds. Compare to milk jugs shot with firearms. Look it up here on utube.

We tried multiple H&N pellets, including the Baracuda's and Baracuda match, none came close to JSBs in our gun. But this is something I always tell folks, you need to shoot for yourself and see what works best.

Depends on distance. If you are under 45 yards, you won't see a POI shift due to the velocity change for at least 20 shots with this gun. Not everything needs a reg, this gun with a larger cylinder or bottle would be pretty slick I think. Guess it really comes down to how many shots you need. For me, pesting is the occasional squirrel or chipmunk in the yard, not a mass invasion of them LOL.
