I don't really get your comment :/ But by guessing: Japanese have very simple pronounciation, it is very difficult to synthesise English. The other reason is, this is similar Japanese English pronounciation, so Japanese can understand it better.

Japanese and English are very different languages. You can compare japanese pronunciation of Miku's songs to actual Japanese to see that they've nailed the language down fairly nicely. English is a different matter since our language has thousands of pronunciations, also given the fact that Miku is still using the restricted ~110 syllables that she only has in Japanese, you'll find her English is very terrible. tl;dr Miku is like most of the Japanese population, they're good at Japanese, terrible at English.

She's wondering if when a native Japanese speaker hear's Miku, do they really not hear a robotic computer voice, like how we can clearly tell it's a voice synthesizer in this song, or do they just hear a regular person singing? From what I've seen, it's a mix of both. They played one of Miku's songs in a shopping district once and many of the shoppers thought it was a real person singing. On the other hand, my friend says she can clearly tell it's not a real person singing because her voice sounds very robotic to her, and difficult to understand too, even if Japanese is more syllabic compared to English. I guess it really just depends on the person, and the song too

I like how Miku sounds autotuned so it's not like it's bad, but that's the thing, her voicebank sounds autotuned all the time (or her English does) and it disappoints me that Kaito and Gumi have ridiculously better English. Autotuning a Vocaloid is easy but making them sound realistic is hard.....Crypton went down the wrong path with Miku English.

Miku English doesn't sound naturally auto-tuned. Her voice just has a slightly lower tone to it and the same character sounds to it as for getting her to sound like V2 Miku that's not all that difficult. Her clarity is is the actually lyric build. And auto-tune isn't easy although it makes things sound nice with a little more ease than tuning does.
