You guys... I don't think "My Scar" is the best translation of the title. I checked Google Translate, and 痕跡 (the word translated as "scar") means something more like "trace." Miku is talking about the trace, -the mark of Zorro, if you will,- that she left in the person's heart.

I feel like this song is trying to tell how selfish suicide is. Miku obviously had broken up with a man she had a long term relationship with, maybe even a fiance! She couldn't handle the thought of losing him, especially the idea that he'll eventually forget her and she'll just be some woman he dated. So he would remember, so that she won't become "just some woman", she jumped off a building. Possibly in front of him just to mentally scar him! The reason why this is being seen as selfish is because she doesn't care about what happens to him, she only wanted him to never forget her. So she'll be the woman he could never forget, but in the end as she was about to hit the ground she regretted her decision. She realized all she wanted to be with him again, but she killed those chances.

I was always told this, and I think it is true when it comes down to it. If suicide were not shamed and seen as an immoral, selfish thing, then I think that even more people would do it than already do. Why do we want to keep so many people alive? I must say that that was a good punch in the heart there, a good song music wise, but a huge falco punch to the heart. Im not codoning suicide at all, however while it maybe selfish for the person Miku is portraying in this Pv to do this, I'd like to say we don't know if the person she was in love with had done anything as well. What Im getting at here is, we had no real indication the guy shes talking about was a good person, maybe he cheated on her, or left because he was "board". Still none of those reason should anyone kill their self over, but I must say Its very hard to not sympathize with her. Plus the fact that at the very end she was regretting it, and wanting just to be with him one more time, yeah it defiantly make one want to feel for her. But then she could have broken up with the guy she referring to, and then in a since it would be her fault, however I still feel sorry for her, at the end. Everyone makes mistakes, thats just a fact of life, and everyone will make really stupid mistakes like leaving the one they love. But that doesn't mean they don't deserve a second chance, that is something everyone needs is a second chance. None the less Its still a good song, and story, because it is able to evoke emotion from others very well. If I left something out or missed something, please do tell ^^

+MKninjastudios As a person who has been in dark moments before I agree with you. Now that I look back the way I worded things was harsher than I actually meant, as I always did feel she was genuinely sad. Like what you said this guy may have been no saint, heck he may have even been emotionally abusive judging by her reaction, killing yourself is still the most selfish thing you can do to yourself. Falling down she was left to think of everything she took away from herself, how she threw away her life for such a stupid reason, how things could easily been fixed and the people she will miss. I guess what I'm trying to say is killing yourself is selfish against everyone involved, yourself, friends, family, lovers or even just witnesses (us).

The version in the album "Secondhanded - Used & Junks" doesn't contain the final "splat", and is better for it. It instead merely ends abruptly (no "final chord" or fade-out; just what happens if you suddenly pause a piece of music). Just letting all you people hating the ending know.
