I actually think the deeper message in this song, which is that we actually have to see the bad news (like the blizzard that miku is standing in) is also very important. Many people where I am don't watch the news because "they are tired of hearing negative stuff and about covid", meanwhile things such as climate change and the economy are in a terrible state, and tons of people are walking into stores without masks on and spreading covid. This bad news is really important to think about and act upon, even if it's just through simple things like voting, making meaningful conversation, or ordering food out instead of eating in. Of course, there is good news, but if you listen to it again I think the song also hints that we need to acknowledge the negative news, even though NEWS 39 "doesn't allow it".
