What people have remember is that Miku was made to appeal to anime and manga fans (Hence her cover art). Also, the Miku we see on the cover art may not be real but the person that the sample vocals were taken from IS real. It would be wrong, in a sense, to call her totally fake. Also I would say that this is one of my favorite songs from Rihanna that she sings!

You gotta admit it's pretty good for a Japanese Vocaloid program though. Still sounds better than Miku's English voice bank! I've heard much worse Engrish Vocaloid covers because the people making them didn't bother to play around with the phonetics. Matt9five was good at that.

+Lily Shimizu Yeah, the sad part is that it does sound better than her English bank. I had high hopes for that and I was let down. I had started to work on a Sonika cover of this song a long time ago (way before I found this) and I didn't get very far in before giving up because it sounded really bad. XP I don't even have that .VSQ any more because I made it before I lost all my Vocaloid and UTAU projects. :( It is because of that incident of losing all my projects that I got an external hard drive to try to make sure that kind of thing won't happen again.

Back when Vocaloid started around 2005, The important people of the company did interviews and went on the streets to talk show Japan what Vocaloid is. Then they said it was all 99% computer made. They used samples of voices from some voice actors. Not real words and stuff lol But maybe something changed and they hired voice actors for words and stuff, hard for me to believe though 0 ,o

The Vocaloid program was not originally for Japanese songs. It started as a English program, for English songs, but it was made in JAPAN. The firsts vocaloids weren't Japanese, they just came from Japan.
