Well folks there is no better place I was born on the eierdyk and I worked for Peter Coster who then farmed on the corner of kerkstraat and zuidwal I moved to Canada in 58 but never forgot hattem I hope to be there this fall again very nice to see the pictures and het Hattems volkslied I believe it was put together by meester willem coster I had him as leerar up the mulo anyway much appreciated from Henk van veen Ancaster ontario

Hi Henk, you're very welcome next fall. I'm sure you still understand the Dutch language: Ik zat begin jaren '60 als kleuter op de "bewaarschool" (kleuterschool) in die voormalige boerderij van Coster hoek Zuidwal - Kerkstraat !! I remember as a child, the view on the intersection in that days. Perhaps you remember Jansje van Es at that time living in the house on the corner Achterstraat - Kerkstraat. She also moved to Canada too at that time, to Vancouver. I was invited may times, but I never wend there. What was your motivation to immigrate ??

I know family members with the name van Veen living at the Eierdijk. They had a Froge or Smithy years ago. We lived at the Eierdijk too in the '60 and '70's.
