Hattie Jacques: The Queen of Carry On Comedy

When you look into her personal life, like a lot of Carry On cast, she felt she was overlooked for her acting skills. There was a documentary I watched on her along with Joan Simms and it was so very sad how life affected these great people who made us all laugh. I love the Carry On films and they are what I go to when I'm having a difficult time to cheer me up.

I loved her in Hancock's Half Hour as Griselda Pugh and her numerous shows with Eric Sykes. Wonderful.

That was great Catherine. This short but informative precis of Hattie Jacques career and private life. Why not do something similar about Joan Sims? Personally, I always thought she a very underrated actress and like Hattie had a perfect sense of comic timing, but had a sad personal life. 📽️🤗

She's kinda like the strict but loving mother of the group. I love that scene where she chases a person who she thinks is harassing the women in the building.
