I was asked to show my set up, as a lot of people are having trouble using a field monitor with their Nikon. - The paid for qDSLR app for android CAN'T be used when recording video on a Nikon D3200 (at this point in time), and some battery powered field monitors override the camera's LCD screen, and turn it off, when you press record. - This doesn't. - It's a 'Bestview LCD Field Monitor' (£86 on Amazon) powered from a clip-on battery pack. The batteries I use are £17.99 (from Maplins) Duracell clones (DR9943) of Canon LP-E6 batteries. You may be able to find cheaper ones. - There is also a clip on battery pack for Sony batteries. I charge them up with a Maplins universal charger, in about 3 hours from dead. Connection between camera and monitor is a mini HDMI to HDMI cable. There is a screen protector on both my camera LCD and the monitor screen. This may be why the screen looks slightly faded. Please ask any questions...
