The fast elevators at the Jayhawk Tower in the downtown area of Topeka, KS. They were originally manually operated, but they went through 2 mods: by Haughton in the 1950s and Montgomery in the early 1990s, but they replaced the indicators inside them in the 2010s. In the Montgomery mod, they retained the Haughton exterior indicators and lanterns from the first mod. Originally installed in 1926, modernized in the 50s and 90s and a new indicator installed within the last decade. The call buttons are very unique and this building is very nice. Also, there is a huge vintage mailbox with chute in between both of these elevators.
