I bought my metcalf in size medium based on their recommendation of sizing down if you are between sizes. Had to return it for a large. I’d say go bigger ,especially with layers on.

Re: the MR packs I like them, if I had to complain Id say I wish there was a way to engineer air flow to reach your back. It seems my back gets so sweaty with the MR packs. Best packs hands down, Although I always chuckle with your hunting seasons and talking about how your gear held up when here in NZ we hunt our public land year round 24/7 There is nothing here close to what MR offer, I use the new Marshall and it’s incredible.

Dang you guys are making me feel old talking about brass pins and overdraws. LOL I love my MR metcalf. I keep hearing how other packs are better, lighter, blah blah but I don't have any issues with my metcalf including comfort. IMO a great pack. Throw it down the mountain and it will still look like it did when you pitched it down the hill.

Love mystery ranch but they need to come out with more whitetail/tree stand specific bags. Their options now are not great

Wish mystery ranch would add some rigidity to their frame and add straps to the actual frame to help secure load better.
