Hey ! Very good clip ! Well articulated...good rythm. TYhe Husky 44...I think i have a couple of them. Impressive saws and light ! Thx for those tips ! I start to dream about going too the states....just to collect a bunch of saws that is very very rare here in Norway...but i know...they are everywhere in US. Appreciate you clips and all the cool saws you show off !

I have ported my sachs dolmar 120 super to very agressive numbers (well past 100 degrees on the exhaust). With a very aggressive chain it cuts with a stihl 500i. I had a professional test it, he really liked it. They both cut in 24" german beech wood. Thank you for teaching me all the good things that made that possible. After that he handed my a stihl 046 that doesn't run quite right which I should check what I can do about that.

P 40 only made couple yrs no decomp and chain break. Step up from farmer saw. Which was more plastic. P 40 started 1973 the 41 is basic same saw just more options. Both 66 cc saws.

I know what you mean about cool down your saws. But I think warm ups are just as important as cool downs. I practice both on all my equipment from saws, trimmers, trucks, and tractors. I know what you mean on the husky 44s, I own a 44 white top. These are great saws just absolutely no aftermarket support on them, I can’t understand why.

Hi Tinman!!😀😀 Years ago we had a lady wood cutter that hand cut pulpwood for us. She ran those 44 ranchers because they were the lightest saw in its class back in them days. She had a white top 44 that I swear she cut a thousand cords of pulpwood with it and it was still going. When they discontinued she grabbed one just like yours and I'm sure it is still running. Sucks when you dull two saws in the same block. You should have known better than too put the 44 in the same cut. That's the way it goes. LOL!!😀😀 Take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍 Logger Al

The little one’s are fun... and a lot easier on the back! Great fuel mileage too’ !! I’ve been a huge fan of the ported husky 350’s to the 353...45mm flattop setup... I remove all the meat between the transfers and toss the 359 carb/intake on them... nice little ripper with an 18” .325 setup.... or an 18” 3/8’s with the 346xp sprocket .... the 365 with a 20” is my absolute favorite firewood getter...👍😁. I got a Mac 610 on the way... starting to get some of the older ones to play with... they do sound great!!! The blue homelite is going to be my first old saw port job... I really dig the blue paint job on the old homey,,,✌️😂👍. 77cc’s!!! Those old girls gotta get down and buggie with that displacement!!!

A lot of improvement from the p40 on the p41.. tho they look similar they are different in a lot of little ways.. the specs on power between the two are almost the same. The p42 was the jump in operating rpm.

It never fails, whenever you put on a long bar there’s always metal to be found in the wood. Now it’s gonna take forever to sharpen the chain.

Quite the collection you have I think a 50 cc saw with 325 chain can keep up with a 55 to 60 cc saw with a 3/8 pitch chain makes me want to get my old 350 going it starts and stumbles won't Rev up I've messed with carb filters no change mite try a new coil I was using it allot when it broke down 5 years ago then I bought a 455 rancher it now does the same thing so I hung it up and bought a 445 series 2 it's a 50 cc with 18 inch 325 some day I want to get a 372 or maybe a 365 565 some day rite now I need heating oil and truck needs work you no adult thing's

It's the same chassis as the 365/372, 47mm bore, dual transfer port vs the quads of the other saws on the chassis. Early ones are K095(small) bar mount vs the D009 of the 365/372, as they were aiming to replace the 262. You can bolt on the top end from one of its bigger brothers, pretty much directly.
