Thanks for sharing your order with us and how to make chicken feed. I know the feed has gone up in price like everything else; and you being able to multitasking your grains for people and chickens is saving you a lot of money 💰. Keep up the great work. We don't have a Costco near us ,but we have a Sam's club. They just started carrying food grade buckets. When I go in there, I really stock up for several months worth of items.

Hi sweet one! I think you are amazing...not crazy...for storing food for your family! LOL...I love that the chickens came to visit! Your information on the different types of foods is vast and interesting. You certainly have done your homework!!! It really is so much more cost effective and healthy to make the feed for your chickens. It sucks that it is so expensive to ship though!!! I know you did a lot of research to find out it is still more cost effective to buy through Azure. That was so interesting!!! Big hugs and many blessings!!

We're in our 70s and don't have room for a food storage. We live in an area where I can get fresh fruit and vegetables year around and do some dehydration. Growing up we was able to grow all of our chicken feed except oyster shell for them. Plus they free ranged and got vegetable scraps. Where I buy my eggs she does the same and are better and cheaper than the store.

I love the fact that all the grains you bought are good for human and animal food. Best way to stock up and cover everything or everyone on the homestead. I know shipping is high, but it might benefit you and your homestead to do several more orders like that so you have more than enough as they do say some grains are going to be harder to get. As for getting grains on Amazon, most of my grains were good, but i also had one infested with bugs, i have never had that with Azure. So i would onky do Amazon if you can't get the grain through Azure.

You need a co-op store. Ask the fire dept. "West lakes" "Houston" fire dept to get the word out and create a co-op. Order a shipping container at a time. Then ask if you could pay a small charge to keep the container. Build your co-op store with that. I almost sometimes feel like it's borderline and addiction. If I see a good deal on anything instead of thinking oh I'll grab 2 or 3 I want to get like 2 years worth 😂 I need to start doing curbside ! I remember during the pandemic going to get bread and they were out I looked at my boys and swore to myself this will never happen again my kids will not go without! It might not be gourmet but they aren't going to bed hungry even if there's no food at the store. I just grabbed more vittle vaults today I'm going to start keeping flour in them (hold 60 lbs,) I keep flour in freezer but I just want more more and more !!!!!

During 2020 and the shut down yes we went to our local store and people were clearing shelves. It was a Walmart market like not a super center, and it was completely sold out of meat. It didn’t last to super long and things calmed. But yes we did have an issue getting food for a short time, when people panic it goes south quirky. AZ is so populated we were lucky we didn’t have prolonged times of food shortage. However Alaska completely different we can get weather that shuts us down for extended time.
