CW McCall. It's the goofiest, pure 70's American as you can get video. And I love it. That song and Smokey & The Bandit put a CB radio in every car, truck and bedroom in the country. I climbed our TV antenna tower to mount my CB antenna and ran the cable right into my bedroom. I could talk to everyone in a 25 mile radius.

@@Christinasgifts lol I was just sitting here thinking about those days. I don't know why having the ability to talk to random people was so alluring, but it was! Me and my brother sitting there for hours listening. And riding into town with my dad talking to everyone in town. I remember our family channel was 24. My dad would all the sudden hear my mom telling him to stop by and pick up my sister from piano lessons and I remember him grumbling. I suppose that was the texting of the day!

My ex mounted his CB antenna to the back bumper of his car. It had to have touched the International Space Station (the oldest one, which was assembled in 1969 by Russia). Man, I love the song as well as the movie!! Don’t forget the bell bottoms, leisure suits, platform shoes, psychedelic painted buses (Volkswagens), moccasins, Bob Dylan, and tye-dyed t-shirts! 🎥 🎶

But if you would take a corn cob and put it in the stock tank and touch the fence that would let me know if the fence is hot. That is all I have to say about that. Cole, here's how I found out my folks had kicked me out for good. I joined the Army in 84 graduated high school early that June and went to basic training a week latter. I was 17. Basic training, Airborne school then advanced training for the next 7 months. During Christmas the school closes and all the soldiers take 2 weeks leave until school reopens in January. So I get home on the west coast, my training was on the east coast, walked upstairs to where my old room was and was stunned to see the upstairs had been gutted and rebuilt as the master suite. Where my old room was was the new master bath and walk in closet. I said some 4 letter adjectives and went back down to the family room where the folks and remaining sibs were laughing at my situation. I asked where all my stuff had gone (they packed it up and stuck the boxes in the deepest corner of the attic) and where was I gonna sleep. My mom led me into the library where they kindly had laid out a sleeping bag on an air mattress. Over the next decade or so I rarely took leave to go home going instead to see other towns or if overseas, other countries. Guess they were right when they say you can never go home again.

Growing up in Northern Michigan my closest neighbor friend, a mile away, decided he would test out if it was true about electricity flowing up liquid. So, he began to pee on the electric fence wire, at his farm. Yup, its true, electricity does just that. I never saw him move so fast and roll around on the ground so much. What a hoot!!!!
