Im a local steel hauler in the area i know it quite well, instead of taking 403 e to Lincon Alexander you should just stay on 403 E all the way down to the QEW split and just keep right go over the skybridge and it leads right into nikola tesla. Never take Hwy 8 through hamilton you'll be right in the S*** show lol

We felt the stress when the truck didn't start. The stress of that port first time. Wow. Shame you didn't get home, what a pest. You'll have to do a video of the sleeper one day.

Now you're playing a Saskatchewan trucker. Grain haulers are everywhere there. When hauling loads like that or any loads that are paid by weight, try to get as close to max legal weight as possible. For 63500 kg max gross try to be as close to 63000 as possible. Farmers don't like being shorted like that.

Grain on doubles is pretty wild, mate. As you put more weight on the lead trailer axle by putting weight in the front of the rear trailer it will reduce the weight on your drives. Don't ask me how it works, it just does. Also, when you settled on to flat ground the weights will be different again. Also, mate. When you're doing up the tarps tighten them by the handle then use the whole arm of the handle to leverage those tarps to be a bit tighter. More tight=more good because less flappy flappy. (Others will say bad because more wear on the tarp handle etc etc. Eh, your choice. IMO, more tight=more good. One last tip: On a dry day, grain is dusty as hell. Keep your windows closed as much as possible.
@callthemall24 күн бұрын
I've noticed the weight changes when I load the front of my second trailer on the flatbeds too! I figured this would be the same kind of concept so I wasn't overly worried too much. These guys know what they're doing loading trucks!

This reminds me of the many times where I've had to power only and go pickup a new type of trailer to my experience, but was thrown to the wolves and had to figure it out myself, lol! Yes, there were times just like this where I had to ask another driver who was picking up the same type of trailer for some tips, etc. It normally takes me one day to figure out a new trailer, and by the end of that day or even the end of that week tops, I'm operating that trailer like I've been doing it for years. I actually kind of like being thrown to the wolves, though, to be honest. I don't know why, but it just hits different that way for some reason, lol!

Any tridem/tandem double trailer is referred to as Super B, whether it's grain hoppers, flat decks, tankers, whatever. A trains, B trains, C trains all refer to the axle configuration.

Wow, he gets to pull B-doubles instead of A-doubles! If I had to pull doubles, I'd much rather them be B-doubles than A-doubles, which I think are stupid, BTW! It just looks much scarier and more unstable to pull A-doubles since they're on a hitch vs. a fifth-wheel! A trailer on a fifth wheel always seems more stable, in my opinion! However, I'm not a double or triple driver, so this is all just my opinion! The configuration that seems to be even weirder is an AB-double or an AB-triple, which I'm not even sure if they exist anywhere here in U.S. If they do exist in the U.S., I'd imagine that they would be out west somewhere up in the north, like the Dakotas or Montana! What's weird about it is having hitches and fifth-wheels all mixed up together, lol!
