Nice one Troy & Rebecca! Some nice Lobsters and some stonking Mackerel. Excellent bit of teamwork in getting those pots lifted close to the rocks - situations like that are so much easier & safer with two of you. That new DAM Rod looks interesting too - is it the 'spin' rod, or the 'allrounder'? Merry Christmas to all, stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍

Its the allrounder I often find a lot of the newer spin rods too soft. I had an Abu spin rod which I shut in the car door put on a new tip and it was so much better if a bit shorter

How long can lobster and crab last out of water (kept cool and damp) ?
@Trojwaterman Жыл бұрын
They can last quite a few hours but its all down to the individual such as very large lobster you never see them dry out on the beaches its got something to do with gravity and pressure on the lungs. If you were to keep a very large lobster you would want to keep a bit of water sloshing around its lungs. If we are out on the boat any length of time we will put crab and lobster in a bucket of water every so often just to keep them in tip top condition.

Average sized ones can last a good few days in the fridge on a damp tea towel. Not tried it with a big un - tend to eat them on the day of catch
