I live in farm country in upstate NY and the fields near my home get liquid manure. It's really raunchy when they do that. It's not pleasant but it doesn't bother me. I will never, never, ever complain about farmers. Hard working people providing our food, you guys deserve thanks and praise for what you do. Eric I see how your days often go from 3am to 12pm. America owes you and other farmers a debt of gratitude.

I like that this is a closed-loop system. Cows make manure, manure fertilizes crops, crops get harvested and fed to cows, cows make milk, cows make more manure, etc.

When I was growing up, we put a tin can over the exhaust. We would start it up and the can would go flying each time and it was fun to see how far it would go.

Oh Eric, we don't fix tires so we can repair a failing manure transfer pipe with a near dead innertube, duck tape, old carpet scraps and some hose clamps. I highly recommend using 2 different trenches, one for your water and one for electric. If you ever have a problem in the future you won't be able to access one without disturbing the other. Always keep each utility away from the other utilities.

My dad's old Jag had loads of soda cans covering holes in his exhaust with Jubilee Clips securing them to it. Passed the yearly inspection every time. The guy would comment if he saw a new can.
