I don't remeber where I found it but, if you driving in city - in-game hour is longer then when driving outside of city. Or it was vice versa. Also at least for ETS2 there is map mod where you drive in real time - one in game hour = real life hour.

Nascar trucks do race to pack up as fast as possible after a race and get to the next track and set up as well. I have seen it in a documentary somewhere but can't remember the name.
