That is good looking sand. I use to operate a scoop loader in a gravel pit. The dairy I worked on had a mastitis problem probably due to a drafty barn and not keeping the free stalls clean. Eventually the owner purchased a hammermill and bedded with straw.

Hi Ronda, ( @Acres of Clay Homestead ) I just found your channel (and subscribed!) ... so refreshing to a country boy living in the big city now for over 30 yrs! I enjoy getting to look in on the activities on your farm, through your perspective and camera lens! Thank you for all of your patient narration and hard work, Ronda, to bring these videos to us! You all make what I know is hard work almost look glamorous! I've come to admire your family, and am looking forward to tagging along by way of your videos. Lastly, thank you for your labors to feed the rest of us!!

Every mothers dream a son she can lookup to.Also nice to get things off the top shelf. He's so different than some of the kids I've worked with they would spend more time figuring out reasons why they can't do something then if they just did it. Your so blessed with kids that just do there job and there parents must have taught them well

My farm is sand like that, I have to be really careful with how I farm so it doesn't blow away. We run cows on pastures that were farms in the 30's where they all blew and they just packed what they had and moved and the government took the land back.

With 6,100 cows milking and about 700- 750 dry cows and prefresh cows we go thru alot of sand. We have a sand lane and try to reuse as much sand as we can.

I cannot get over how much your children favor(at least the ones I have seen). I think they might look after you. What type farming does your husbands brother do? Obviously he doesn’t need the sand so I assume he is not a dairy farmer? Oh well the work must go on!

In wisconsin a farm owner hauling his own goods can operate within a certain distance. Unfortunately this is abused by some owners who will hire people with little or no experience and that with a fully loaded semi is a bad combination. Funny side note a sheriff stopped at a farm and noticed that 2 separate trucks had the same licence plate. Owner responded i only have one truck on the road at a time true story

Hi new sub here. I don't know if anyone told you about the waste of time and fuel? That loader is filling the bucket half way up and even the amount of load in the trailer looks very poor. I think you could do one trip to get that amount of sand in that trailer. Might be wrong but I think you can do much better. How ever thanks for the vid I enjoyed it.
@acresofclayhomestead
@acresofclayhomestead 5 жыл бұрын
Welcome to our channel! Sand is heavy, lifting a full bucket with the loader could tip the loader over, and the truck can only haul so much weight.

she said 18 yards was 25 ton , that would be over 50,000 pounds canadian, x2 would be too much weight driving on that soft stuff and hed probably get his trailer stuck .

your as bad as me getting videos out, but my problem is everything i have to do is out in the open, and it been pouring rain here in Thunder bay Ont. Canada for over 2 months, but very soon it will turn to snow, this past week a year ago we had a foot of snow dumped, so far this year only heavy frosts, been watching for some time, and yet to know were you are, from your old video i see you get snow but dont know if it melts soon after, or you have the same long 40 below months like us

We got 1 1/2 inches of rain again yesterday. We don't need any more rain for a while. I'm not ready for frost here yet. We live in West Michigan. Near the big lake so we get lake affect snow in the winter. Some of our trees are just starting to turn color. First frost for us is around Oct 10th. Last year we got snow early too!

I am 30 min west of thunder bay Ont. Canada witch in on the shores of that largest of the great lakes, and we get hammered by the lake effect snow, in town it some times rain but out here is snow, I woke up this morning to our 2nd hard frost , our leaves are well under way falling off big time, my next video will show this mornings frost and leaves, last week a year ago we had a 6 inch dump of wet snow, that stayed for 3 days, yesterday it poured rain all day, today it is partly sunny but a cool 50 deg. at noon, thanks for the reply

Hi; my bro sent off another email early early Saturday morning, almost the same message as the lost one but i removed 1 line and 2 pics. So we both tryed to befriend another You Tuber, a farm kid 1 year younger then us, he had computer problems and my brother said, heck we got this extra desk top computer we could send, give it to him, so we sent him, now his channel is working again, but the strange thank you we both got was that he blocked both of us, hmmm being kind and friendly to some people sure isn't worth it, no matter we were not using that computer so its not any loss for us, maybe one day he will think back about his past cruel choices
