I’m late to this video and I was a bit worried what Beardo said to create so much controversy and anger…very little from the looks of things. Beardo didn’t get personal, complimented the character of HF guys and kept his opinions (and stated everything AS his opinion) within the context of criticism. If your anxiety means you can’t take criticism then unfortunately KZbin may not be the place for you

Hi Mr Eye Guy. Maybe you have been fortunate enough in life to not have a friend or family suffer with their mental health. Maybe youtube is an escape and an aid for the content creator in question. Your a man who loves his research before making a video (and are very good at it). Tom publicly stated on his community notes numerous times he was struggling with personal issues. IMO on a human level these guys deserved a pass. But that's just me. Anyone reading this if you are struggling with mental health problems please reach out and talk to family friends or professional. Do not take advice from social media influencers on youtube.

And I do know people with mental problems and they usually step away from things that have or can have a negative effect on there mental issues.. or make a video telling his or hers subscribers what's going on so everyone subscriber or not knows.. not be butt hurt that a debunker obviously caught them in faking.. mental illness or not fake is fake!

Hey hey SEG. I agree. KZbin puts people into the public eye, which creators initiate themselves. With peace and love, I do understand what it's like to live with depression. But I have been diagnosed, treated and using medication. I'm not going to take out my Wellbutrin out on anyone. LOL. This whole thing has caused a massive hate train and thank goodness, resolution. @@jerrysatz I agree with you to a point - but just because you have mental health issues does not mean you can control what others do or say. Life doesn’t work that way. It is on the person who has the issue to protect themselves and if being on KZbin or social media is doing harm then the person with the issue has the obligation to protect themselves. The 'nanny' who says she is 'from the 18 hundreds' is a bit of a problem: the dating style 'so-and-so hundreds' wasn't in use until the turn of the twentieth century. Someone from the 1800s would more likely have referred to the regnal year or their current monarch. 'Nanny' wasn't in wide use until the mid-1900s: people like Jesse and Mary Watts at Ilam would most likely have used the older terms 'wetnurse' or 'governess'. Just to underline Beardo's point about the name 'Mary', the owner of Ilam, Jesse Watts-Russell (who rebuilt the house in 1821-26) married Mary, herself the daughter of a Lady Gray (there's a proper grey lady for you), and together they had a daughter Mary, who in turn had a daughter Mary. Oh, and Jesse's second wife was called Maria!

Doing my family tree & in three generations (45-70 people) there were 13 that had the name Mary or a variation of Mary, seven people with a variation of Elizabeth, Ella, Elma, Liza and Beth. If you didn’t have someone in your family named Mary in the 1800s you were the exception🤣

My family lived for a time in a Villa, which had been the Officers' Residence for the German Kriegsmarine during the occupation in Norway 1940-45. There were several old houses on the large property and there were several ghosts running around. In the middle of the night, my wife wakes me up and says there is a man at the door. I look up and there is an adult grey-haired man in full Marine Officer uniform looking at us with a sad look. Our boys said he was the man who lived on the second floor and was not dangerous. Some of the fools you Debunked should have spent a few nights there. There wouldn't have been any Dude and Bro there, but wet pants.

As someone who used to regularly stay in busy hotels, I can confirm the noise of other guests is horrendous!! No bugger ever stays quiet all night! Doors opening and closing, loud tvs, drunken shouting etc. You can tell every noise is not paranormal when in an old building where the floor creaks and you know for sure that there are others staying in the building

To be fair to Tom and Dave, I’ve watched a lot of their stuff, over the years and whilst I agree this one is perhaps clutching at best, for the content etc, they have had some interesting captures over the years. Priceless moments include Tom in the early days, running away in fear of his life, but the channel has evolved and so have they. They DO try. They’re out there doing the leg work! And I think they are actually really nice guys 😊

Outdoors investigation can be wonky due to wildlife. I remember a video where a guy was investigating an abandoned little village and kept hearing noises from one of the buildings. He got the scare of his life when a... COW... stuck its head out of the doorway when he was trying to enter the building. Yes. In an abandoned village late at night, there was a cow that decided to go adventuring.

Yes, none of the apps and various, so called, ghost-hunting devices can be trusted, nor can our senses. In the end, we will believe what we want to believe. It seems to me to be a pretty pointless endeavour to ghost hunt. But, I think most people are able to debunk on their own. Don’t think I’ve watched a ghost hunting video believing any of it and, despite the attention grabbing scary titles and thumbnails they all are guilty of, I always come away thinking meh. They are however, entertaining and sometimes very funny.

As an apartment dweller, I usually have to automatically dismiss any noises regardless of how unusual they might be. However, one of the latest weird things to happen in our apartment DID involve sound - it was around 4'sh am, I was already asleep when my husband heard 'voices whispering' in the kitchen while he was in the washroom. He investigated and discovered Alexa was playing music at a really low volume. We typically don't use Alexa as a radio station and my husband is confident he didn't do anything to initiate the music. The freakiest thing is that when my husband told Alexa to stop, well the music DID stop but Alexa DID NOT light up as she typically would following a command. Who knows what was actually going on - there could be a reasonable cause (hacking?), but to us it remains an unexplained oddity to add to our list of 'paranormal' experiences.

Tom and Dave have been around for a long time and have done a lot for the paranormal community. Hell, Tom is responsible for Spirit Talker, and he was doing the Estes Method way before it was ever called the Estes method. It is so sad that these opinions have affected Tom so much that he is leaving KZbin. I think debunking channels are good when they can actually debunk evidence, but these opinions can destroy people. It makes me sad.

Came here after watching his complaint video about it and seeing his community post saying this sort of thing has caused him to step back from KZbin. The one thing that really caught my attention was he said he hadn’t even watched this video as he didn't want to give Beardo views. That means all he is going on is what others (who I'm sure have no love for Beardo) have claimed Beardo said. You cannot respond properly and honestly to something if you have not seen it for yourself. Their fans could be telling them anything and they wouldn't know if it was true or not. I'm not saying their fans have lied but it's possible and then he would be responding to that as if it was true. From what I've heard, the guy has a lot of personal problems at the moment and I hope he can push through and come out happier the other side but I do believe he is totally in the wrong for reacting the way he did to something when he, by his own admission, has no idea what was actually said, and is only going off what others have told him is what was said.

Beardo, as an artist who paints things like your witch for the public/pay, I suggest finding a pro. If you have no idea where to start, a game shop might help. A lot of miniature painters for Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. will sometime do larger models. They'll also already have the right brushes, primer, paint and sealer. Normally I'd encourage anyone interested in art to have fun and enjoy. But this is a gift and display piece. It's worth thinking about. I'd offer but I'm in another country.

got to be honest bud, think this video is a little unfair at best, Tom can be a little 'excitable' at times, but that's just his nature, not the best video to react to in my honest opinion, and, i think you went a little overboard at times jumping on everything said, or movements made, i've personally always found them to be quite honest, bit jumpy at times, and sometimes over react to stuff now and then, but over the years, they've caught some really good stuff that is very hard to disprove, all said and done, there your 'opinions' and should be made more clear, everybody reacts differently in situations, as you should no yourself going out and doing your own investigations, found this a bit harsh and uncomfortable to watch, as said, this is just my opinion, sometimes we get things wrong ourselves, Ian SPJ

Personally, I am skeptical about this video and then saying they are 100% fake, i dont think it was the right video to use as evidence to suggest its all "fake" not alot happened in it and its all just theories at at the end of the day, maybe watch another one of thier better videos which had alot more happening it in that will make you rethink about haunted finders, from the videos ive seen from them they capture alot and are one of the best paranormal channels on youtube, maybe watch the video where they were at Woodchester Mansion, that was an amazing video with amazing evidence that might have you rethinking. I still think they are one of the few genuine channels out there!

I've found from my research into the History of Strange Phenomena in my area; most encounters with the Paranormal are preserved in Oral Histories or Archives that haven't been digitalized. Very little of the Local Legends are found online.

Some of them are very basic. It's just a broken radio that constantly sweeps stations etc. But there are some you can add an sd card feature. And playback feature which is very scary. The spirit box used in this video is not that model just to be clear

I'm glad you added them to the list. Years ago Tom had a channel where he claimed his house was haunted and every video he claimed to capture ghosts and paranormal. Yet again debunkers proved it was all fake. Watching this video of them in this hostel just made me laugh and I really don't know what's worse. Them believing in it, or making it up to scam people.

@@Kristen_H Yea though at the same time everyone can make videos on whatever they like. To Beardos credit he didn't slag the team off 100% he said repeatedly they are nice guys. Though I would say calling them fake just by one video over 11 years is a bit harsh as a three strikes and your out tactic needs to be in order. However I did see Tom latest video in the end and it's just wasn't nice to watch it was just full of hate. I get he is frustrated but there are more adult like ways to deal with things.

😊 Beardo! You look absolutely great for 42! I’m 45. lol the bags etc… that is normal with long hours staring at monitors. I want to say how shocked I was when it came to how long it takes to edit. You are absolutely right. 60+ hours for an investigation and that is just editing, not research or anything else. I mentioned it in a KZbin creators group. And they were shocked. There was many people saying I’m doing something wrong… I need to hire an editor. lol never. If you’re doing investigations you’ve got to edit yourself to rule stuff out. You know what was going on… etc. On to your debunking. Excellent! Love these videos. They keep getting better and better. I love showing my kids as they want to investigate. We been tossing around the idea of doing light hearted kids investigations at safe locations. It’s going to be more fun… “ghost hunting” but I want them to get used to critical thinking and try to have them debunk as they go too. They have a passion for it. Probably because I’m their mom 😂… I’ve always been into this stuff. But yeah… you are doing good. If more young people watch your stuff the next generation of investigators is going to be epic. We love you.

The 19th century is not impressive. We live in a house that is much older than this here in Norway. Ghosts are rare to see, but I would like to see a real good picture of a Ghost and preferably with good sound. But I haven't seen any yet..

I remember watching these guys years ago and my experience with them was quite good. Tom was always pleasant and responsive and Kev. They seem like ok fellas but that’s only based on my experience. It’s such a shame cause they have been around for quite a long time and could actually be a really good team. They aren’t too over the top and quite gentle in their approach. I know at one point Tom was saying how difficult it is being on KZbin and there are high expectations and he was going to leave the platform as it was too challenging and too many hoops to jump through. I think a lot of these teams succumb to the pressures to move channels forward and instead go backwards. Especially when they are against huge channels. Not making excuses for them, as people they seem decent but their channel yeah well….. 🤷‍♀️

I think youre being unfair on this one Beardo. You and others might find them boring and not like their content, but they are 2 of the nicest guys on youtube who is just trying to make a living or make content doing something they love. Until you know for a fact where the hostel is, where abouts in the hostel they are, how many guests are in it or seen behind the camera etc then you can't say for sure all the claims youre making about certain things. i feel you are being quite nasty and disrespectful to them at times when your mocking how they say thing or what they are saying, which is quite nasty and unnecessary IMO. They arent faking shadows, scratches, slicing and masking videos and all the nonsense that others on you tube do. They are the ones that are fake not these guys. If you dont like their content then just dont watch them, why be nasty to them or about them? Just cause their editing or whatever isnt up to your par doesnt mean its bad or not good. Its just different. Lastly, we all hear things differently, why make fun at them for hearing something you didnt? I heard differently to you and them on some of them but i wouldmt be nasty to anyone for hearing differently.

You make a good point on the fact that all of the info about the hostel, it's tenancy at time of filming, etc., should be taken into consideration when reviewing claims. This is my first experience with their channel. So, I'm not familiar with them, their style, etc.

The absence of a 'tower' could be explained by the nature of the drawing. Instead of it being from 'life', it's probably the architect's rendering of what was being planned at the time of the drawing. It his quite possible that the prospective owner of the house either had his mind changed about the tower, or simply ran out of money!

That's a really ingenious theory: Jesse, Mary's husband, designed the building - he was one of the most important sculptors of the period. It's Gothic revival, not Gothic, in style, and so it's quite likely that he as a sculptor rather than an experienced architect could have been carried away with trying to emulate something like Walpole's Strawberry Hill only to find out that it wouldn't work in practice.

I love the Ring piece. I paint ceramics, but this may apply. Paint the entire surface black and let it dry, then when you paint any color or even greys and whites, you will get natural shading showing through. Hope that is helpful.
