I did a little research and I think it might be possible his name was Ephraim Bales. He lived in the area with his brother Jim during the 1860s to the 1930's. Ephraim, together with his brother Jim, build and owned the corncrib and the barn. Hiram and Ephraim are bother similar sounding names but I think if you listen very very closely you will hear Ephraim. I was unable to find any information on a Hiram or a Harold (as someone else said they heard). I've had bears come up on me several times in the Smokeys. Ah good times! 😉Just something you have to watch for. I traded them for gators. At least a gator lets you know if your getting too close. Their fast but can only go straight so zig zag. Loved hearing the moonshiner. I think he liked the company. Hope you can go back. Try during the day. Doesn't make any difference. If there's a haint there's a haint. Thanks Jon.

What a huge loft in this house! I am amazed at all the barns. I heard from the smaller burn when you asked about shine I heard a Yup. lol you warned you about the bear awesomeness!!! What a nice little bit of excitement 😍 to this day I have yet to see a bear in the wild 😬 that could be a good thing!

Jon said so calmly yet reassuringly and educationally "no, that's a bear my friend. We need to go." Cracked me up. Excellent video. I love these combination videos of exploring, paranormal and even nature/wildlife rolled into one. Add dark in a beautiful country setting and it's just Heavenly. And I notice you all were by a creek which the bear was probably wanting some water. But, the evp did say "bear" only minutes prior.

I think a still would have been hidden a little better. The barn at the top looked it had stalls or pens, space for jay at the top. The one on the bottom and this is just a guess, with the square opening looked like a chicken house to me. Just a thought anyways.
