HAUNTED HOTEL Paranormal Investigation (Inn At Jim Thorpe)

Jim Thorpe was actually born near Prague, Oklahoma, not far from where I live. When he died in 1953, his children brought him home to be buried in the family plot following a traditional Sac and Fox funeral & Catholic burial mass. Unfortunately his third ex-wife interrupted the traditional tribal service & stole his body. She held the Catholic mass that morning, but never returned Jim's body to his family. He was eventually basically sold & buried where he is now to become a tourist attraction. His family, however, has never given up on bringing him home to his native land to be buried so Jim can be at peace. Maybe some of the paranormal activity is spiritual unrest from a Sac & Fox man that wants to go home to his family...The hotel is beautiful though. Hopefully you can return for further investigation. Great video, wish i would have seen before i stayed at the inn. Stayed at the inn this past weekend in room 217. I totally forgot the place was haunted and it wasn't even a blip in my mind. My husband returned home and the second night i was alone enjoying time away from taking care of my parents. Was sleeping peacefully until 4am when i felt a depression in the bed by my feet and immediately a mans voice yelled in my ear "HEY YOU!" i could feel his breath on my face!! I screamed and jumped, turned on the TV for some light...and nothing. When i mentioned to a staff member they said there is a lot of activity on the 2nd floor. Happy Birthday Surprise to me, holy crap.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend. On our first night, we both woke up around 2:30 am to the sound of children running and laughing. We hadn’t heard or seen any children in the elevators, halls, or lobby at all during the trip. 😅 It was definitely obscure for that time of day. The next day, we were getting ready to head out in the morning and heard someone trying to enter our room by messing with the door handle. We were both standing right by the door and within the 2 steps it took us to get to the peep hole, there was nothing there. Literally not a soul to be seen nearby on either sides of the hallway. Not saying these were spooky encounters, but after finding out the hotel is haunted, we are definitely a little skeptical!

That was an interesting investigation Jay!!! The only thing that makes sense to me is the words fan and allow came across the app then the fan in the room turned on!!! I think another investigation needs to take place!!! You mentioned that Ulysses S. Grant had stayed there in the hotel, he's my 4th great uncle on my mom's side!!! I thought the hissing and loud noises that came through and you pointed out a few times on spirit box/EVP device were the most interesting events to happen. Have not seen this app that you used in other ghost hunter channels though . If it's a device that combines all detection though, that's pretty unique!

Cool investigation. I feel like the spirit was trying to tell you a story, probably an overview of her life, through those words. Go to about 18:10 in the video and look at the light vertical stripe on the wall just to the side of your head. There was an ever so slight jitter to the clarity of it, then a few seconds later you started talking about the face-finding box on the camera having shifted in that direction.

There’s a lot of history there. You sure have the right energy for this kind of things. I remember a few years ago when I kept feeling something was in my house. They even made noises in the kitchen whenever I watched tv. It didn’t scare me.I just told them to stop. One night I was alone in the house and decided to leave my camcorder on through the night.I tired it on and went upstairs to bed. I checked the footage the next day and although nothing scares me I was a bit freaked out. I heard my footsteps going up the stairs then after an hour, there was orbs dancing around and a voice calling my name continuously. I wouldn’t trust an app on a phone. If spirits want you to show themselves they would with or without a device. Great job JP. Keith Emerson coming. 👍

I just came across this video because Iam staying here tonight, and wanted to see if I could find anything on this room. I swear that’s the room I stayed in (207) but went down to the desk to ask her if they had another room because the thermostat was off.. it was either artic cold or muggy and warm. This is a slight exaggeration, but right away when I walked into my room I didn’t like the feeling, my grandson had visited he’s 4 twice he stated “Shadow” so I did get another room.

I just got to the part where it told you “on stairs” & my coworker & I started laughing cuz immediately where my head went was that there is actually a lady that stands on the stairs and watches over me when I worked the overnight shift & usually when I’m here period since I don’t normally work that shift anymore. I’m not sure if maybe it was either her or possibly not but maybe someone else telling you about her. When talking about her to my coworkers I call her that (cuz they all know about her) & I actually refer to her as “the lady on the stairs”😂

The app did say wall and I find it odd that you heard a loud thud. I believe they told you in advance that they would make a noise on the wall. You also asked them to make noises it just didn't happen right away.

When someone dies and does not know they were killed their spirit stays behind. I witnessed it with my own eyes on channel 4 tv news. Where a young man hit a semi truck. He was killed instantly. His spirit walked right in front of.the camera. He stopped and looked back at his car shook his head and walked out of sight.

even scary is the place you work is a Wrecker service and after a semi hits 16 cars at a stoplight - where i worked had the shop held all the vehicles involved - workers and all the Investigators day or night have seen some of those who were killed walking around even employees in the rest of the building - the average time one would spend with the cars would last about 10 or 15 minutes then be very hesitant to go back in and this lasted several weeks - after that the work place was never the same and still have lots of unexplained pictures and Security videos just as you said on news you saw - as i think i have seen that news clip as well - it does put a chill down the spine of sorts

Very cool video! I stayed in a chain hotel in Pittsburgh on a Kennywood trip that had activity. We could not get any sleep because the bathroom door kept moving and we heard whispering around the bed / bathroom. I was also poked in the center of my forehead. Explains why all the pictures in the room were screwed to the walls.

So I work at The Inn at JT & I’m here now. I was just outside smoking while watching this video. Right after you turned on the app, I got up and started walking back towards the hotel to come back inside & right as I started walking toward the hotel to come back in, your app started beeping more and more as I was getting closer & closer to the hotel. Now I am aware that had absolutely nothing at all to do with it. Obviously it’s a video that was made almost a year ago now. I just thought it was pretty cool with how well the timing of that worked out nonetheless!

The app can do full sentences & phrases but it’s just rare. One of my coworkers actually uses it here all the time and she’s had it say both sentences & phrases. A while back it kept saying, “Mandy” every time she would turn it on and when she was telling me about it and I was like I hate being called Mandy! My name is Amanda! Well every time she turned on that app after that the first thing it said was “Amanda”. But it doesn’t anymore. When that what’s happening it was like back in January(ish) & around that time for about a good month to month and a half, we’re pretty sure that there was some sort of trickster or something that we had here because a lot of crazy things were happening during that same time when it’s not typically the time of year that things with the spirits go “haywire” around here. Things would happen that were bizarre and then when we would ignore it it would sound like something would kick the front of the desk to get our attention! Another fun fact is the girl that I’m referring to both she and I had worked here before left and didn’t work here then came back and started working here again and after we came back to work here again both of us had started to see some of the spirits. The weird thing is neither one of us were able to see any of them when we worked here the first time.
