I was pretty surprised he said "these are white" and there are two without the vinyl right in the middle. People make mistakes, of course. All the love in the world to David, but these aren't white. Also the red gates are likely for ADA and larger strollers that don't fit through the normal "turnstile" doors.

I talked to a HM cast member yesterday while we were making our journey up the elevator and commented saying the line looks almost done this might be our last time going up and he asked when we were coming next? I said next weekend and he said and I quote “I’m no construction worker but next time you’re here they’ll be down” !!!!!!!!

The red gate is a pre-primed swinging gate that will be painted go away green to match the aesthetic. It is necessary for the 42 inch ADA compliance.

The doors on the haunted mansion gift shop appear to be temporary. The pocket above those doors will have some sliding hardware installed with much more substantial doors that will slide into the recessed wall area

when we rode Tiana’s we threw our ponchos away and some guests immediately took them off the trash can, which was full of ponchos. and we told them go ahead, they really saved us from those tidal waves. I think it’s a nice gesture!

There's an aspect of Tiana's Bayou Adventure that is flying below the radar- the return of edutainment! Which I love. The 'plot' is basically entrepreneurship with a some farm-to-table lessons thrown in.

I can confirm those ponchos are community ponchos. I went on opening day and people were giving their ponchos to those in line once they finished the ride.

The turnstiles are silver. That is a white safety wrap to keep them from getting scratched. They will remove it when they are opened.

I took a close up pic of the fountain when I was there last week and there's a light on the bottom of basin, so I think they will fill the basin with water and it will be lit at night and the water will create a better sound when the stream hit it.

Regarding the 3 Green buildings behind Tower at DCA, From left to right: Building # 1 is used for the Eastside Maintenance Team Building #2 is used for the entertainment Dept. Building #3 is mixed used 1st floor is the foods dept/kitchen ops usually for Special Events (Spev) 2nd floor Was last used by Imagineers during the construction of Cars land, you needed a Key Card to go up there. Fun Fact Imagineers have some green bungalows behind Indian Jones near the tram route that they've used for years, with some of the BEST employee restrooms I've ever seen, one was Snow White themed. It's especially impressive with it being in a bungalow, the also get double ply toilet paper, while the rest of the Cast Members get single ply. It's a conscientious effort of classis although they rolled out an initiative called "One Disney" ten years ago meant to consolidate operations across the parks.

"Lathe and Plaster" was a common walling technique in the 20's, 30's and 40's. You see it a lot here in SoCal. For example, all of those bungalow houses in downtown orange are Lathe and Plaster.

Excited for new entry turnstiles so I can use my magic band + to enter next year. The red-brown gates maybe for mobility vehicle and stroller entry? I hope they put the benches back on the train station area - precious few seats around the park as it is. You'll need a poncho at DCA for Grizzly River Rapids, unless they've already done that and have no more use for it. It's a nice gesture, like giving your parking permit to someone; if you still have time.

For the HM new shop being a carriage house it makes more sense to have one large door for a carriage to go through than two smaller doors. Though the community ponchos is fun and nice thing to do, I don't think Disney will let it continue since they are large sheets of plastic which could be a suffocation hazard especially to smaller children.

That cat in the concept art for the Madame Leota gift shop looks like the one that was added to the inside queue of the Haunted Mansion. That makes me think that it will probably not show up outside the gift shop and that it’s just added atmosphere in the concept art.

I don't think the scanners themselves are white. At the 1:13 mark, you can see that they have a plastic wrap on them, and that they are silver colored underneath. They look to be normal looking metal scanners.

The Disney World turnstile and security bag check is 100 times better than ours here at Disneyland. I wish we had the same turnstile and security bags check as Disney World. Their is way more efficient then ours. The book in the queue to HM will get a lot of damage from the elements especially when it’s raining. When I was there yesterday, Disney posted a sign in that location asking guests to throw away their ponchos and don’t leave them on the wooden gate.

If those are light on top of the trellis. It’s not projection lighting/mapping. Those are much larger devices. Guess those are only lights.
