I worked at Kingsley Plantation briefly and also at Talbot Island State Park for several years. I have personally witnessed many ghostly events. there. The old slave quarters have a lot of activity. Just north of Kingsley lie the Talbot Islands. I spent many nights there camping. Travelling north on A1A, You will pass 2 bridges, a rest area, then see a dirt road to the left. At the end of the dirt road past the old gates is the old Houston homestead and an abandoned cemetery with open crypts from the 1800s. We have seen orbs, heard voices and had temperature drops there. A couple miles north of Houston Road are the "Bluffs" on the right. There is a very dark presence there. We have witnessed orbs, heard what sounded like dogs chasing someone, a small paper bag that burned for over 10 minutes, and in one instance heard a voice come through our tape deck that said in a creepy voice "Praise Satan, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord". We had Pink Floyd Ummagumma playing at the time and it was NOT on the tape. I feel like this may be part of the Kingsley Plantation Haunting but could be another one. New Moon nights seem to be the best time. I also have info on St. Augustine and would gladly share it.

St Augustine is only more "active" than Jacksonville because it's "supposed" to be that way by virtue of it's documented history. That's part of the tourist draw. In other words, it manufactured BS. In reality, the Jacksonville area has a LONGER period of human habitation than the St Augustine, FL area. Atlantic Beach, Florida is one of the longest continually inhabited settlements in North America. It's really obvious that there is a lot of "cherry-picked" locations for claimed hauntings.

A lot of people don't like the Dames Pointe because of how large it is. Jax is also known as the city of bridges due to how many we have here... But the Dames Pointe is by far the largest. Honestly, I've always felt more at ease on this bridge than the others. The others still sport the old school grating... The sound it makes driving over it, suspended mid-air, is just creepy.. Plus the lanes are very narrow and cramped. Not the DP, its three lanes wide on both sides, with blacktop, I believe... However... It is a very long bridge, so if an accident happens or if its just the usual 8AM or 5PM traffic... That shit gets backed up for miles. And it IS scary at a full stop right at the top. *shudder*

I never experienced activity at Kingsley plantation. However I know people who grew up in old houses behind it says their houses were haunted. Now down the road from the area I and some friends experienced some crazy stuff of an abandoned piece of property of nothing left but a concrete foundation w trees grown over it. We all heard a deep manly voice that made a short growl but the sound came from up above us. All three of us heard it at save time. We hightailed it outta there and never been back, That whole area down that main road is haunted as you can tell anytime u turn off that main road onto any of those driveways or roads. It’s surround with the timucuan preserve and mounds..disregard the misspelling

You need to make the hour drive from Jax to St. Augustine. The oldest city in the USA. The history THERE is by far the most captivating. The hauntings are never ending. But there's a sense of something magical about the place.

I worked at the San Marco Theater in the late 1980s. At that time the concession booth was in the back of the theater, with cement steps leading down from the projection booth to it and to the lobby. One night, during a quiet movie scene, I was standing in the back concession area looking out towards the screen. Behind me I heard the protectionist, a huge man, shuffle down the steps and I looked over my shoulder to speak to him as he walked in, but he was not there. I walked up the stairs to the booth where he was still sitting by the old projector studiously splicing together some film reels. No one else was working that night. So yes, I heard the ghost on the stairs but I never saw the woman in the old upstairs balcony.

Mani I drive across the Dames Point Bridge every day back and forth to work. I've never seen a woman, but I'm pretty sure somethings have happened on it. Now you gone have me looking for a woman in the middle of the bridge. I heard about that school, but I can't get anyone to go in with me. I will not be going in alone. Casa Marina Hotel is so old looks like it could be haunted. Duuuvvvaaalll.

I know this video is a year old but I was at the Kingsley plantation a month ago late at night I was parked on one of the dirt roads just down the road from the plantation house it was pitch black dark out and I was asking a couple of answers to the spirits the only thing I got in responses where screaming but what startled me was it went quiet then 5 minutes later I heard chains or shackles rattling coming straight at me in the road not rushing at me but like in a slow pace and I waited till the sound got closer and closer and literally like 10 feet from me the sound of it vanished leaving me to my car and left and havnt been back their since

The problem with bridges made this way is that there are no practical places to bring your vehicle to a stop if you have some mechanical failure. There's nothing like having a semi coming up behind you when you are going DOWNHILL on a big high bridge or having some jackass come up behind you going much too fast downhill in the RIGHT lane. .
