I lived on Fr. Monroe for 6.5 years, I had 4 sister's & we all heard ghosts (moved there after 3 years in Germany & I believe it was in 1959 0r 1960 that we moved in). My mother didn't tell us a lot of what she saw until we were older. My father was Col. B.W. Heckemeyer, West Point & Harvard schooled. He passed in Sept. of 2013 at 102 years of age. Whenever I see Ghost Hunter shows I think someone should check out our place in Ft. Monroe. My sisters may remember the address but it was one of the only houses on the right side as you drive through. Right next to the encasement of Jefferson Davis. Standing at the door & looking out our home was just to the left. Inbetween the Jefferson Davis 'jail' & our home was a walkway through the Fort wall & a small walk-bridge over the moat. We spent a lot of time crabbing around there in the Chesapeake Bay. Thank you, Ellen J. Heckemeyer
