Very different video from you as you stated but a very interesting one Mr H. There's a place near me called the Borley rectory which has a haunted past . If I purchase the cottage I would probably leave the scull well alone for peace of mind😂

Hi Gary and apologies for only just replying to you as I've been a bit busy with other things of late. These sort of local folklore tales fascinate me as once you peel away the bits added on over the years they are usually based in some form of fact. I've read lots regarding Borley Rectory which sadly no longer stands after being destroyed by fire and only the gateposts are left of the original structure. One I'd love to do if ever I get down that part of the world but I believe that the locals are notoriously unfriendly as they are fed up of Paranormal Tourists.

Lived in there in 1991, yep there was indeed a skull, and a priest hole. You approached the cottage from Beacon View. It was divided off from the rest of the house. Often had folk coming round wanting a look at the skull. Not sure if it ended in the museum? It was also freezing in winter!

In 1992 I returned from NZ and was looking for a place to rent and saw the advert for Skull House and went for a viewing and can confirm there is a Skull in a small cupboard, I can't remember what room it was in but it was definitely there. Someone beat us to renting the place and we ended renting a stone cottage called Overhouses near Turton .

We have a simular story in bolton the two skulls of timberbottom far bad things happen if separated they now have a place together at turton towers . Thank you for another good video Mr H

A very interesting story Mr. H I just think the skull was found years ago and the owners kept it for fear of being haunted, if it was me I would have kept it too locked away. Thank you 👍

If I ever find a skull in a house it's getting chucked in the bin 😂as-if I am going to keep a skull in the house!😂 (wouldn't t really chuck in in the bin, you'd report it to the police)

I've seen the skull When I was a kid me a some friends were playing near the house.The owner kindly brought it out for us to look at. It was in a perspex or glass box. They told us the person died in the chimney and they were reluctant to remove it from the house but didn't seem to bothered about it. In fact they seemed quite happy to have it 🤷

Cool story. I'd never heard of it. I was told about the Boggart houses in Hindley as a kid and still tend to walk on the opposite path. As for the skull, I'd keep it, if only for a talking point.

Some 20 years ago when I moved into, still my current home, there where semi precious stones on the threshold of each carpet. There was also a brass jug left. I gathered the stones together, and put them into the jug. It’s still there, on my bookcase. The previous tenant left them there for a spiritual blessing maybe? I just done what I felt right about them. 😊

Hi David, with all due respect the small rectangular stone above the upstairs window to the right of the property featured in this video says otherwise as does the old OS maps I used to locate 'Skull House' before making this video. 👍
