Rachel, this was exceptional! I love the way you've posted the clips with the raw recording, then cleaned up, and then with subtitles. That deepens the context and makes me appreciate them even more. The one with the singing really blew me away. I can't wait to read through the comments and see what other folks think of it and what it might be from. And lastly, I went to check in on the Discord group and can't seem to find it now via my bookmarks. Am I just missing it and need to explore around a bit more, I wonder? Anyway, thank you so much for another outstanding video and for all your hard work! How lucky we are that you do what you do so we can learn about these places, people, and their lives.

Hi Camile :) Thank you so much for your kind words, I sincerely appreciate your feedback on the video. I never take what I do for granted, or forget how lucky I am to stay at the locations and to be able to share the voices I capture. There is a lot of work involved but it's worth every minute if you enjoy it. Sadly I knocked the discord on the head, only a few turned up and no matter how many times I reset the permissions, people couldn't join. You're always welcome to get in touch via Skype if you'd like a chat. Thanks again for your support, it means the world. Rachel :)

I went here today, I found the building full of atmosphere don't get me wrong. However I have never walked into a room and felt shudders as I did in the "apartment" on the middle floor. Started by the chapel and become much worse around the dinning room. Does anyone know if anything happened here?

Hi Karen,wishing you a warm welcome to my channel. So many tales of intrigue and gossip exist; Bess enjoyed keeping up with the affairs of society and it wouldn’t surprise me if some heated events took place in the area you felt uncomfortable. Sadly these things aren’t recorded, but I’d say trust your gut. In my experience we have the ability to pick up on these things. Thanks for watching 😊

Hey Rachel, I hope you’re keeping well. A great visit to a beautiful house, great EVP’s they don’t let you slip by unnoticed, it’s pretty cool that they are having chats about you, a real privilege. My love left me 3 Monarch butterfly wings on my deck this morning, every time I stepped outside from the kitchen to take my breakfast to my living room it’s in another building, there was another wing when I had only walked back into the kitchen to place the wing with the feather’s she leaves me, and each time where I had just walked there was another one about 1 minute apart, it left me feeling kind of giddy with happiness. I didn’t get butterflies on my property until after she died, the first spring I was surrounded by about 20 of them, and they have been coming ever since. Thanks for the great historical information too, and I do love the use of the map, I also love the shoes soundscape as I imagine that’s how shoes with leather souls sound on those staircases. Great upload. Happy Crimbo and new year if we don’t see another video before then. Cheers Jacques

I really enjoy what your doing. Nearly all my ancestors are English people who came to Virginia and the Carolinas 16 and 1700s. But I often think of all there hundreds of ancestors walking around in England thru the centuries. Perhaps some of them lived or worked or visited the very places you are visiting. I had a sort of vision dream one night. In this dream I was flying like an eagle over what I felt to be northern English countryside. I could see a town in the distance, church steaples , many trees. I landed on a muddy road in the woods walking up to a plain. Not terribly large manor house abandoned, shabby, and boarded up. It was very important that I enter, but could not undo the lock and chain on the front door. Never have been to such a place. Why would I dream that I wonder? Perhaps it is a genetic or blood memory of some sort or some past life thing or something or other. Who knows? I really enjoy what your doing. I'll keep watching. God bless.
@camilelcoyne
@camilelcoyne 10 ай бұрын
That sounds to my untrained ear rather like a lucid dream. That it was a flying dream makes it even more fascinating. I have lineage/genealogy that goes through Virginia in the 1600 and 1700s, then back to England as well. Rachel did a video about one of the places where some of my ancestors passed away, according to the records I was able to find. I think I'm especially drawn to her videos because of those ancestral links, and I wonder if that might be the case for you as well? Your dream is certainly interesting and I'm glad you shared it with us and spurred my mind to think about these things.

Hello again! I would love to capture Diana's voice, however, I think it's very unlikely. Unless either of them regularly frequented a place where I was recording, they would have no reason to get in touch. My experience would suggest that those who come forward, do so with a reason. Rachel's boy I would guess, is either in reference to the child I lost, or someone who accompanies me on their side. Thank you for watching :)
