@@dennislang4375 I agree. If you aren't going to restore them - sell them. Don't hold onto them. Realistic, keep a few cars for yourself to restore and sell the rest to buy what you need to restore the others. It's ridiculous to let these cars sit in the rain, weeds and moisture and rust themselves to death when they could be in someone else's garage getting restored. It makes much more sense to have 3-4 restored cars that run and drive rather than an entire field and garage full of rustbuckets.

As others have said, you don't realize that 95% of this stuff will go NOWHERE... its fun to collect all this vintage stuff, but you're also making it insanely harder for those of us who love this hobby to enjoy it as well. Mortality is a REAL thing, folks. When this guy dies, all he's taking with him is his rotted corpse and not the rotting metal in his yard.

My dad spent 2 yeas in Vietnam as an officer in the Marine Corp. He lived day to by thinking about Mopars and drag racing. When he got home he ordered a 71 Hemi Cuda, a car we still own. He taught me that Mopars have souls, above all other cars Mopars were special. He taught me that to love Mopars it takes courage because it’s easy to be a Chevy or Ford man but be a Mopar man takes courage. He told me you will win at the drag strip and the stop light but you will need to be a thinking man and have guts. We have 5 Mopars in the family from a Hemi Cuda to a 440 six pack Road Runner. Mopar or no car.

That was an amazing thing to watch. Thank you Larry for sharing, and for Rich and Steve for allowing us to get a glimpse into this incredible collection and for saving so many special cars from the crusher. It was like having a private tour of some famous museum for super rare Mopars (don’t care that they are ratty, they are still amazing). Steve’s ability to remember the specific details of each car is also very impressive. I own a 1969 A12 Super Bee that I saw as a teenager and fell in love with. I worked crazy hard that summer (’87) and was able to buy it from a local dealer. My first car ever was a ’69 Coronet 500 Convertible. I was hearbroken when I sold it to go to school. I would absolutely love to be able to restore any of these cars to their former glory. Specifically interested in the '68 Coronet R/T hemi convertible, the 440x6 Purple or Rootbeer Cudas (Hardtop), the Vitamin C Hemi Cuda 4spd, the ’70 triple black Hemi Charger, 440 (4spd) Purple Challenger Convertible and the ’69 Hemi RR. I know the purple '70 Challenger R/T 440 six pack convertible and the Cude are a friends, but if he’d every be interested in selling I would love to talk. Please PM me if any are available. Thanks again.

Yeah, the guy could be accused of hoarding these super rare & super valuable Mopar muscle cars, but give him credit for SAVING many of them from the crusher. The fact that these cars STILL EXIST & so many can still (eventually) be restored is just amazing, the hemis, 440 six-packs, & 440 4bbls... He's got enough parts cars & extra sheet metal to rebuild most of the cars, plus all the mechanical parts he has, he's got like what, 5 or 6 complete 426 hemi engines? A whole bunch of A833s in both 23 & 18 spline versions? He's probably got a bunch of Dana rear axles for both B & E bodies as well... He could sell enough of his "lesser" cars to raise the cash to restore the cream of the crop... Mark Worman, Dennis Collins, & good ol' Richard Rawlings (plus many other Mopar nuts) would probably show up with their briefcases full of cash & their trucks & trailers, anyone with the $$$ & the means to bring at least some of these sick ass rides back to life, like the '68 Coronet R/T hemi convertible (!), the orange '71 hemicuda 4 speed basket case (Mark), the other random hemicudas & Challengers, the 440 six barrel cudas & Challengers (anything with a 440-6), the triple black '71 cuda 340 4 speed convertible (I heard somewhere that Plymouth built only 4 of those?), the purple '70 Challenger R/T 440 six pack convertible (actually ANY E body convertible), the A12 RR, the numerous hemi RRs & hemi Superbees, the T/As & AARs... the list goes on & on!!! WOW what an amazing collection! Many came really close to being crushed & therefore GONE FOREVER, but the fact they still exist & can still be restored someday... Sometimes we gotta wait a few more years but SOMEDAY all those cars & parts WILL become available to those of us lucky enough to have the cash & be at the right place at the right time... That is if gas is still affordable... Let's Go Brandon!

What a video, so happy to see so many saved. I have loved my Mopar's since I bought my first at 18 for $1500.00 it was a 71 Barracuda Grand coupe. It had a 318 in it, I had been building race cars for many years before I could even drive. I dropped a 383 Mag in her with a 355 rear and she already had the 727 torque flight. I put a set of upsweeps and made a misting system as we all know how well they run on a rainy day she was unbeatable. I see there is so many lovers out there like myself that we should all come together and do what's right to all of these sweet cars. I say we put a building up and pull 1 car at a time and build them back to the beauties they are. I say we put the owners in charge as they know where all the parts are and which one's to start with. Let's bring these babies back to life and give some lucky people a chance in owning some history.

The end result may not have any original parts to it but legally it is a '70 orange hemi 'Cuda . Think of it like "The Ship of Theseus".

@@Mr39036ce No he didn’t go to town to buy another car. If it wasn’t for guys like him none of these cars or parts would exist. If that had happen then what do you think prices would be in fact it is very possible the only time you would see a Hemi or Six-pack car would be in a private collection. Visionaries like this guy has helped our hobby. The days of cheap reasonable Musclecars ended in the late 80’s. In 1977 I bought a running driving 69 Hemi Roadrunner 4 Speed super track-pac car for $900. It had rusted quarters, it was 3 different colors and the guy drove it back and forth to work. It even had a trailer hitch on it. That car was a couple of months from being crushed. That’s what happened to a large numbers of those cars. That or the engine and transmission was pulled and sold to a racer then crushed. The days of paying $35,000 to $40,000 for a Hemi or Six-Pack B-body or E-body are gone for good.

One of my good friends is a retired builder and is almost done his last personal 68 RR, it is amazing how high and scarce parts have gotten. He just installed $1800 in rechromed bumpers. The people making comments about how stupid the owner of this shop is and how all he knows how to do is cut cars up and not finish them. I’ve known the owner for over 35 years he has restored a 68 GTX and we are restoring my 1970 Challenger R/T SE 440 Six-Pack 4 Speed Shaker Car, high optioned six-way, rim blow, stereo multiplex radio. The 35 years I’ve known him he has restored too many cars to count one being a Hemi Cuda that won Mopar Nationals with the highest score ever achieved. Those of you who blame him because you don’t have the parts for the cars you have or him owning cars you think he should sell because he will never restore them grow up. He has been buying this stuff for close to forty years. He bought a number of these parts and cars because they were so bad or missing so many parts most people were not interested because they didn’t have the skills to restore them. He was a visionary he loved these cars and knew they would always have great value so he searched and bought any Hemi, Six-pack, rare or unusual Mopar no matter their condition. He then went after the parts needed to complete the cars he bought. Now it’s his fault people don’t have what they need and most want him to give them a deal on the parts. He knows what he has and trust me if he sells anything parts are cars none of it will be cheap it will be for the present value. The Sublime Superbird that Larry owns and went out of his way to say it has all original sheet metal so he can jack up the price since he is wanting to sell it. Of course he failed to mention that the reason it is so perfect and beautiful now is because of the hard work and knowledge of the man who owns this facility. Same with his sub-lime AAR Cuda sitting in the shop. In fact Larry has had at least 3 other cars completed but this shop. If you can’t tell by my comments the owner and Steve Been are like brothers to me. Unless your in this business you have no idea the cost to restore one of these cars plus the cost of the investment in equipment needed to do it correctly. As Steve said in the video to restore a car to a high quality driver level will take approximately six to eight months that’s over a 1000 hours and for a Mopar National level restoration can take 2 years.

I found a good set of taillights in a junkyard Polara, cut the needed 3rd hole on each side and at least from the back it looked like a '64 Polara. Seeing the 2 in this video really made me nostalgic. Thanks for the memories. Kent, New Hampshire.
