Actually NP-01S wireless is different from NP-01S wired in one crucial aspect: the center of gravity. The wireless version shifted the center of gravity toward the back of the mouse. I was baffled why they felt differently (I prefer the wired version).

​@@tianlamian For me, the big problem with the shape of the mouse is that it is very thin in width, which makes me force my grip a lot, but of course, shape is always a matter of taste. Vaxee's clicks and coating are really very good. On the other hand, the outset is a mouse that is very wide at the back and tall, in my opinion it only works for very large hands

5:32 Vaxee said in their release video they did adjust button tension intentionally, and actually commented it at Reddit as well. This so click feel is better suited for other games (MOBA) as well than only FPS.

Heard you adjusted your grip style right after watched 'endgame grip' video you posted 2 years ago! In your past video, you "rest palm on top of the mousepad", like your whole hand and wrist hover over the *mouse. Is that kind of contact still applied to your recent grip?I'm not really sure with the clip at 2:45.

Nope! I lay most of my hand on the pad these days. This forces me to use a sports sleeve which decreases friction with my arm/hand and the pad.

The big question is Lamzu Thorn vs. the Vaxee Outset AX. I think I will go with the Thorn because it's the safer choice and has excellent reviews. Coming from a GPX Superlight that is just not a great fit and I am sick of the side buttons.

You should review the Lamzu Maya. I think it solves all of the issues and feedback that Lamzu had received on the Atlantis.

Yeah, I have the atlantis and the thorn. also the vaxee np01s, which was my favorite of these until the latest lamzu release. in my view the ax is just a plus size regarding the np01s. so of all of this mentioned I surely take the maya on top of any other, regarding the others being also great mice. I still remember when I received the Maya and tried it. It was, for me, like no other. The maya is one of the mice I use the most now, including the GPX 2 and the now (with new firmware) with 8khz polling rate, the most advanced razer focus pro optical sensor, I'm using also much more the dav3 pro and the viper 2 pro; not just because their also on my best mice list (I don't understand ho many reviewers tend to underrate the top tier razer mice, it seems they all like to be on the side of the "under dogs" because is cool and not exactly because of mice performance, but that's just a feeling I can't prove - for instances in my opinion the GTX 2 with 2 and not 4khz polling rate like most mice talked here except the 1kzh vaxee's, is far more reliable in most FPS I play, but as it is a logitech, big corp, is also underrated most times by reviewers with same even pointing the GTX 1 is better, with worse sensor, but again that's just my opinion once more) but also because I wanna realize by myself if in my pc, in the games I play, and with my particular hand grip (everybody's different, no one have the same hand size, fingers, wrist flexibility, and so on so on - including eyes no one talks about and are fundamental when using any pointing device, which a mice is), if the 8kzh add anything to the 4khz polling rate or if it's just a razer's "scam"; so to say and likely being harsh on the choice of the adjective. Only testing them for a few days so it's hard to tell yet. Ofc if you do not have the proper hardware you most likely will feel none to few changes even from 1kzh to 4kzh. But with an i7, a screen with 240hz refresh rate who knows - the gpu, on the other hand is already outdated for new releases, as its still a RTX 2070, hoping to be replaced by a 40's series or, waiting a bit more, 50's series, maybe also with a more recent i7 series "attached".

@@hausgaming I went from ergo quite few year back into ambi and there has been some nice shapes overall! But we all end up back to the potato the GPX.. but something just feels, lacking? Within that mouse these days. I tried the Vaxee XE and their 1k just feels blistering better than any mouse I’ve used to date. Sadly the shape just wasn’t working for me so I’m now going to wonder back into the ergo land and maybe my old hands will forgive me! Appreciate the response. ❤️

@hausgaming Just watched your top mouse review and now I am here. Ha. So would this be considered a ergo mouse? My biggest issue is I use the side buttons a lot. I keybind to the side buttons and the side buttons need to be easily gotten to. That is one of the biggest reasons I don't get the Xlite, side buttons are way to high for me to reach easily. We have comparable hand sizes. Used the PULSAR V2 MINI, about equal to the EC2, same feels bulbous. now with the EC3CW, the thumb root is more relaxed.

They do look pretty similar but the g703 has a symmetrical back hump and doesn't flare out on the right side so they probably don't feel that similar in hand.

Looks fantastic. My main for months now is the dav v3 with 4k dongle and its my first and only ergo. I have 20x10cm hands and use claw aim and really like my dav v3 but ive wanted a np01s for ages but now with this i dont know. Which one could you recommend over the other?

You have fairly large hands, so the NP-01s is quite small for you. Outset AX would be a safer bet from the two!

You probably won't like the AX if you main the EC3, you should probably take a look at the Lamzu Thorn if you feel like you want a bit more palm contact from the back hump. The AX has a huge tall hump at the back which makes it feel a lot bigger than the EC3. It just feels very different in hand compared to the EC3 and the EC2.

The NP-01s is a great mouse (I have one yellow) and took the place of my atlantis and thorn. Then came out the Maya and easily took his place for the price range, as I believe there are better mice. Also if I may say so, as I have one too, the ax just feels like a plus sized NP-01s, and for my hand size and grip style I prefer the NP-01s to the AX. Cheers

I disagree about the weight. Lightweight ergo mice benefit from a mass reduction just as well. The dav3 proves that.

It's not just about being an ergo mouse. DAV3 for example has less curves and hasn't have as aggressive of a hump than the AX, so it's harder to stabilize the DAV3 with palm contact. The DAV3 Pro would most likely not work at all if it were close to 80g.

Did Vaxee change the shape of this mouse from the wired version? I looked up the 3D scans of the wired one on Rtings' site, and compared to the dav3 the two are very similar. I'm having a hard time seeing your point if the wireless version is the same shape as the wired. It seems like both Razer and Vaxee derived these mice from the EC-2, so they're all very similar.@@hausgaming

It's true that the level of grip you play with does effect the apparent weight of a mouse in hand. This effect is less for users who play on fast pads though. The inertia of a mouse becomes more noticeable the less friction you create from the feet and pad. So if you're on glass, or something like my Fnatic jet pad it's a bigger deal than something like a control pad. You can test this yourself. Go try a heavy mouse on glass, and then try it on a control pad. The glass experience compared to the control can be quite terrible.@@3ildcard

Certain curves can improve pressure points with mice, the easier it is to apply certain amount of force to the mouse, being it with your palm or with your fingers, the easier it is to control.
