My godmother used to be an editor of a massive magazine in Australia and she ALWAYS says unless you're in Russia the easiest way to see if someone is old or new money is by how many Birkins they own. All her friends have like one, usually black or brown and it was their mothers or grandmothers. You can buy all the new LV or Chanel but really there is absolutely no reason to own more than three Hermes bags - A Birkin for traveling, a Kelly for when you see your mother in law and a Constance your grandmother once wore.

Say someone said "oh you'd never be able to afford..." you could add any expensive thing in that gap and it would have the same effecr. @Ann P I sure hope being stupid isn't a sin, or else you're gonna be seeing the devil real soon. God didn't bless anybody. Not everyone works for their wealth, what kinda of common idealistic point of view is that? You really think companies exploiting humans, animals and nature (supposedly created by God, wonder what He'd think about that.) work for the money they have? There's such a clear difference between just being wealthy and living amongst less "blessed" people and actively mocking them, which is obviously what I was referring to. Learn what the Sins mean, please. Greed is not desiring what you do not have. And poor people can't be greedy if they already barely own anything.

Brilliant comment about how foolish one looks repping a brand's logo items, or filling one's closet with their entire collection, when the brand itself does not respect that person as a customer. Also, the architectural details of this closet look very cheap. The mirrors aren't beveled, the floors are tiled rather than slab marble, the strip lighting should not showing underneath the cabinets , and the joinery looks poorly finished with stock rather than custom molding. I totally judge people who don't follow through to spend money in order to maintain a whole lifestyle rather than just to impress others in pictures. .

benjamin jackson Capitalism is really ruining the art and beauty of fashion tbh. It’s just annoying looking at videos like this especially during a pandemic because the rich are the reason the world sucks. Nothing is made with substance anymore. I’m not even saying this to be ironic but the fashion industry will flourish under communism because artists will be making things because they love fashion not necessarily to sell it. They’ll be more innovation because they don’t have to worry about competition and tryna survive. Communism guarantees everyone free housing and access to healthy food. This would allow designers to do their art with purpose. If Luke was a communist am sure he could go into greater detail to explain how the art of fashion can flourish more under communism rather than capitalism.

On the other hand you have customers that all what you have to tell them is "new, innovative, expensive, sought after" and you were done. Most of the time these customer start by buying all the iconic stuff and belts (it's always the belts) and then they move towards flashy stuff, we also use them to sell the items that usually people don't buy because they aren't exactly pretty (see for example all that flash/neon nightmare that was the fall/winter collection of 2019). It feels like he is going for the monogrammed stuff because it’s what delivers the message of being rich and admirable instantly to your surroundings. As he says he came from nothing. Maybe he suffered a lot in the state of having “nothing” due to comparison and hierarchy classification. Best way to show that he does not belong there anymore is by wearing brands which is sad because you never let yourself actually understand what you like. Honestly, this kinda makes me sad. I totally understand wanting a few nice things but can you imagine how much he could have helped a charity or 10 with all the money he has spent on bags? I think he could make such a positive change in so many people's lives if he just sold a few bags and gave away the money.
@danielng77954 жыл бұрын
Well he does donate a lot to charity behind the scenes. My opinion on rich people buying luxury items is that if you compare to what they earn and the luxury items they buy, it's just the same as us buying clothes from zara or h&m, the amount is insignificant.
@88evileve884 жыл бұрын
He does donate to tons of charities and mostly anonymous. He also has given people money in giveaways and even given away nice ass designer bags to people. He is a much more active giver than he is given credit for. And apparently thats the way he wants it.

I sort of feel sorry these expensive items seemed unused. I'm sad at the Mona Lisa print on the bag. It's easy art & Leonardo da Vinci is so much better than 1 painting. I've seen it, she's small/ beautiful. Her side of the gallery was crazy busy to see her, there were so many other things to see but ignored for her.
@mostrandomchannelever4 жыл бұрын
Righht? And on the opposite wall theres this huuge veronese painting that is so much more intricate and detailed but everybody’s lining up to see mona lisa.. she’s beautiful but the most overrated piece of art imo

It bothers me, personally, that they felt the need to put big shiny (see: tacky), letters right over the front of the Mona Lisa’s face. Like? Everyone knows who the Mona Lisa is, putting DA VINCI over top feels gross.

She's famous because she was stolen by a janitor who had lot of nationalism and thought that Mona Lisa was stolen by Napoleon from Da Vinci. Da Vinci gave Napoleon, Mona Lisa

I thrift or make most of my own clothes, so maybe I don't get high fashion, but I'm turned off by just the sheer amount of times he mentions how much people loved or wanted the clothing he had. I'd rather have clothes I love rather than clothes other people want. I love being just a little eccentric with things that I make. I might be broke, but the boat hat I made out of papier-mâché is going to stand out in a way that I like. With all the money he had, he could be wearing unique pieces that I could only dream of. Oh well

@alexac42934 жыл бұрын
Most of it is marketing. The makeup is cruelty-free cause it gives better sales and keeps Jeffree from getting criticism about how his products are made
@pramalam.4 жыл бұрын
I also think that he’s buying all of these furs and animal skin products because since they will increase in both rarity and value as more and more brands stop using real animal products (which is honestly kind of a smart investing move)
@Nocturne224 жыл бұрын
Vegans are a sensitive bunch: you're like the zillionth person who is acting shocked that he made a BUSINESS, not ETHICAL decision, when it comes to his products (which are all probably horrible for the environment and human rights anyways).

@@katemorganlawson6829 This is late but I think they're referring to how, if someone actually wanted to steal his clothing, they would just ignore the door completely and break in through the top section of the wall. Hence all the scanners being rendered completely useless. Also there's the whole "you can afford a retina scanner but not a door that stretched to your ceiling?" vibe
