Havasupai Falls: Guide to 50 Foot Falls

50 Foot Falls is a relatively "new" waterfall at Havasupai Falls. A flood in 2008 diverted Havasu Creek, which carved a new path across the land and over this cliff.
While water used to trickle off the ledge, it now cascades beautifully in several different spots.

50 Foot Falls can be tricky to find. It's between the Village of Supai and the Havasupai Falls Campground.
From the much easier-to-find Little Navajo Falls, 50 Foot Falls is upstream.
Up the hillside from Little Navajo, you'll find a sign pointing you to a trail into some thick brush.
You'll have to duck along a narrow trail, which will bring you to a sign for 50 Foot.
You'll be wading through a marshy area, but it'll be worth it.
You'll be up to your waist in the water, as you follow the path through the reeds, until 50 Foot Falls reveals itself.
It's a beautiful site, created by the creek flowing over the cliff, partially created by mineral deposits over tree roots.
The crystal clear water pooling below ranges from knee-deep to neck-deep.
Since 50 Foot Falls is off the beaten path, and doesn't really have a great beach or rock area for relaxing, you won't find too many other people there with you.
Keep in mind, Havasu Creek floods almost yearly, during monsoon season or spring melt off, so the path will look a bit different year-to-year.
