Bootlegs were practically the only way the NES got to be known here in Brazil. At the time imports were blocked off, only the riches could lend their hand on a NES. While others had to deal with Famicom bootlegs. The most famous one here being the Polystation, a PSX shell with a Famicom motherboard inside. It had the CD cover, but opening it, you'd be greeted by a cartridge input. It made the sadness of most kids that wanted a real PS1 and parents didn't know any better. I had another model, it had some 90 games like Castlevania and Contra, they were all the real deal, no mindless hacks, so I was happy with it
