Do you have a web site to go to present a idea?
@stephenkey31375 жыл бұрын
Matt Roberts he doesn’t take outside submissions. He just provides a workshop before toy fair.

Dangggg. Would be cool if my 3d printer didn't break, I'd still be making prototypes. Thanks Stephen Key.

@JOEY ZUMWALT yeah don't get a mini Delta. Get one that's $200 and up. Time your 3d print so you can be attentative to it. Worst thing which happened to me is it got stuck to the nozzle and it just kept going until the pla forced its way into wiring and fried it.

@JOEY ZUMWALT Mee too. It's almost done. I have another idea for an upgraded versions. Lol
@dronus5 жыл бұрын
@JOEY ZUMWALT you should do everything on your own and limit your idea to basically yourself. Depends on how entriquit your prototype is, but yes 3d printing is a good way to make a prototype. However it isn't necessary unless you plan on submitting to tool makers like Bosch. They'll want a video, back story, what it's purpose, and a working prototype but that's just some of their requirements. If you're making parts that fit into one another, keep in mind that pretty much all 3d filament is going to shrink, so if you want an exact fit or dimensions it won't quite work on your first 10 tries. If you want to mass produce your own idea which I looked into and it's quite pricey but worthy. Injection molding is the best way to go, you'll get near perfection with that way. As for having someone draw up your ide, you should do it yourself. I use tinkercad cause it's free and it's basic. Not for pros at all, but I didn't get my 3d printer to make the next Mona Lisa.

@JOEY ZUMWALT lol. Why would you say what it does? Delete that comment asap. Has he done enough testing to patent it? That idea just doesn't seem like a money maker. How about looking at ice and snow at a different perspective and go from there. Snow blowers are great for spreading the snow, however the market for them isn't continuous, as it snows just certain times of the year in heavely populated areas. Areas where it is icie* constantly would nesitate a product as you mentioned. I have an uncle in Cali who first invented the safe box for mail storage of hot or cold products. He didn't patent the idea as it would be useless as he studied numerous marketing patterns. Someone would eventually copy his idea and just make a little difference and that it what eventually happened recently with all the package thefts. His box is different and so unique that other companies wouldnt dare doing what he is doing. He's storage boxes aren't cheap by no means and only a select few could afford a $$$$ storage container. He's recorded numerous drop offs from various carriers and shows how easy it is for the driver to deliver . He has the money to buy extremely costly $5k worth of equipment. So he has the means and a market for what he does and it's constant. Pretty soon he won't have to work anymore besides creating his storage containers. Around 2007/08' we talked about backpacks with built in scooters, where the scooter would just fold up in the backpack. If our lives were stable back then, I probably wouldn't be on KZbin as much. Lol. My older bro always told me to think simplistic. Every idea I have, I try to make it with less mechanics involved, and as simple as possible. I have a trillion dollar idea that'll revolutionize this particular market, and that product is used currently on billions of things we use. It sounds so stupid, but when I tried it it worked so easily, I just started laughing hysterically as to why my idea had never been invented yet. Sorry for writing so much. I would suggest googling snow blowers, research which companies has the most sells, if they're on the stock market check how that company is doing, research news articles relating to which company has had problems like defective equipment, recalls, etc...I would also Google patents that are related to your product, but don't be too descriptive with yours. Some snow blowers might have an attachment that does what you're doing. Research and research. Go to the companies main parent page. Some products we see are actually sold by a different company, so Google the head honcho. Usually on main pages they have a page for inventors to submit ideas. Read everything clearly , some are lawyer language but it's pretty easy to understand. Try LinkedIn and reaching out to someone who works for the company you want to approach and just approach them with your idea. Make sure you discuss a Non Disclosure Agreement sometime before you tell them what your product actually does. Sometimes they'll just want to hear your idea to see if it's even worth it and if so they'll send an nda. My snow idea is cost effective, it works better than tradinional tools, however theres no strong market for it. So I will wait until someone else does it. Lol I have another idea but the government would never allow this product to even exist. They don't want us to reuse water, they'd rather have us pay for it. 😜
@dronus5 жыл бұрын
@JOEY ZUMWALT JOEY ZUMWALT lol. Ole government doesn't allow us to catch rain water for consumption, they wouldn't allow me to do that with snow. In the mountains, we would get the snow, boil it, strain it, and consume it. I'm pretty sure someone where it snows all the time created this idea on a larger scale. You'd have an endless supply of fresh water. So much water you could probably package and sell it yourself for $10 a bottle. O my, the new fugi water. I mean no strong market cause the snow blowers are expensive and they're used not very often out of the year. Almost every hardware store has back stock. It could be a good idea if it makes the blow obsolete. I hope you best

Y018 _ The toy industry’s big tradeshow is in New York City this February. A day before the show if you’re selected you can meet and show your inventions/toy ideas to some of the largest toy companies in the world. Happy Holidays! Thanks for watching! Stephen

You also might want to looking into child labor laws. Sounds intense but if you’re serious about your inventions you might need a permit to pursue them.
