Vivid dreams can be awful depending on the topic. Turn off the tv, iPad, and other media things during the evening and read a book. The brain can process the events of the day in a weird way…usually all mixed up and in strange order. My sister who is a nurse says that taking meds or snacking at bedtime causes it. It has something to do with how the body processes what you take in, how the liver processes things actually.. I have been lucky to have some lovely vivid dreams (I take anxiety meds daily and do snack at bedtime) and an occasional night mare. Hope your dreams get more pleasant soon and you get a good night sleep very soon! ❤️Sending hugs! PS..I was bullied in high school and to this day still have nightmares about it. I graduated in 1976 😵💫

That's good advice. I take meds before bed but rarely snack. I think the weight loss is causing stuff to bubble up. I used to have vivid pleasant dreams and I miss them! Last night I had a stressful, very sad dream that actually made me cry as I woke up. Maybe I should make a video about it?

Thankful I haven't had a nightmare since I was a child. I hope you get your water fixed soon. Spend the money if you can get it to have water again. I didn't have a dime saved for retirement but had money saved to get me by and I always worried about that, no work pension, etc. What I did have though was a home that had no mortgage, no debt, everything I needed to live my daily life, my appliances were fairly new and I was comfortable. So now I have been retired for about 10 years and the last 5 years getting my government pensions I have more money than I thought I would ever have. I hadn't needed to worry about having no savings. So now if something breaks down or I need to get something fixed I get it fixed. I just turned 68 and at this age I won't let myself suffer. Life is too short.

@@higgybee6509 That is so true! This may sound strange or counter-intuitive, but I'm thankful for this new challenge with the water. I'm learning that I can cope with much more now than I could a few years ago and it's boosting my self-confidence. I rely on Grant so much. Our washer and drier are over 35 years old but Grant keeps them running. I recently figured out how to wash my clothes in the bathtub with a Dollar Tree plunger as an agitator, and I prefer line-dried laundry. All the 'primitive' skills I'm acquiring are both strengthening and calming. My water problem will be solved in due time but now I know what to do the next time it happens, and that I can handle it.😊

Dreams usually are sending messages for something you either need to bring, or release into your life. You have SO much on your plate right now and you need to take some time for you, JUST for you. You're always thinking about everyone else, but you need to think about you. I love you so much and want you to have peace. Whatever needs to be done will still be there when you're done taking care of you. XO

@@priestessbrenda Thank you, sweetie. Those are wise words. I can't help feeling like I'm trying to beat the clock. Winter, aging, everything is ticking away in my ear, louder and louder. Hurry! Hurry! Time is running out! And it's not just my own time, but I feel that there's something horrifying squatting just around the corner, ready to pounce and try to devour me, but not just me. A looming danger that will change everything.

Nightmares usually happen when we get a lot on our mind, and it just overloads lots of stress that builds up and when we finally get to sleep it unleashes the brain into nightmare. I also think as we age, I am 62 we begin thinking more about mortality and what all we need to get done. We again try to cram everything into a tight space of time we think we have. It can either lead to stress or depression or frustration. And then our brain begins to act like a pressure cooker waiting to let the steam out. Hopefully sooner than later. Love you, my friend. I have confidence in you that you got this girl !!!!!

Sorry about the bad dreams. Overall I’m lucky that I dream a lot and they’re usually good dreams. But when I was young and in my teens and early twenties I had nightmares that to this day I can still remember and I’m 74 now. A nightmare that I had in my teens was my mother being shot and that’s when I knew I dreamed in color. I was scared to go to sleep for weeks because I was afraid I’d have that dream again. It was terrifying for me. I still occasionally have the dreams you have about it’s time for exams and you’ve missed all your classes. I graduated from college in 72 and haven’t had classes since so it’s weird when I have one of those. If I’ve had bad dreams I’ll try to think about good things and try to talk myself into pleasant dreams before I go to sleep.
