I've run into a few cheaters, sometimes it's fun because I'm pretty fast myself and it gives me a challenge, other times it's super annoying to start a race and hear the guy next to you popping 3 bar after 3 bar and leaving you in the dust and the race just begins, it's both frustrating and challenging, as long as their not a toxic rammer, those cheaters are super annoying

When I say rammer mean they have infinite boost and nos and all they do is fly into the back of you at 300km+ just to crash you out, not the ones who bump you during a race

I believe I ran into my first cheater in the PVP hot pursuit 😂 Bro was doing like 400 mph as a cop and had a brake mod so if he gets infront.. he automatically stops & you have no choice but to smash into him.. even as a racer he couldn’t even keep the car on the road

I have met only one cheater since I got the game 2 months ago. Found the cheater in a hot pursuit playlist with infinite health. Everyone was busted except this person and everyone hit this cheater with pursuit tech and was rammed to high heaven but yet this person was on 100% health every time and never repaired either. The cheats or mods I love are hidden car customisation like the police lights for the corvette ect from cheat engine and the mod to bring cop cars to free roam but that's really it.

I personally used mods aswell to unlock cop and DLC cars to buy so I won't have to spend money since atm I am a little strapped for cash irl and cannot afford it but some cars are really good and cool. See no harm in doing that but actively cheating with inf health or speedhacks is not something anyone should do, at that point why are you even playing a racing game? Only thing I don't do is use the cop cars in races because you can do that but they have unlimited nos if you don't engine swap them which I consider to be very unfair.

I've ran into quite a few cheaters especially in PVP playlists with people usually speed hacking and just being generally unbeatable winning time in corners and on straights. Just today I did a Gauntlet Playlist and had someone join (pc of course) and he used an Audi R8 in S Class which is pretty fast already but he was just unrealistically fast easily beating out top speeds of 200mph+ while having insane grip in corners. In the last race of that playlist he made 5 major mistakes, everytime crashing and dying to the crash and by the end he still caught up to just behind my bumper and I made no major mistakes, zero crashes that race just some slight mistakes in cornering and was driving a top S-Class F40. I am 100% convinced he was cheating. That being said when I do see a cheater I usually just block them so I won't matchmake with them again and thus far this has worked pretty great with the amount of cheaters I encounter significantly reduced since I started actively playing PVP playlists. I'm on PC aswell btw

Came across a cheater the other night in the gauntlet playlist (my favorite one). Smashes through regular cars like they weren't even there, BUT the npc cop cars were beating him up, and he had zero control of his car. Guess who won the playlist... me

EA wanting money is true. But I also think it's part of the reason, because there is another reason to this. Which may sound much more complicated. But the other part of the reason is that Criterion Games or EA as a whole might wanna implement an anti-cheat, but they can't because there are mods out there that don't actually change or worsen the gameplay of players without mods, therefore, they're too scared to make one. And I know this because the developers for EA Sports WRC 2 game released an update that imcludes an anti-cheat for PC users and they got instant backlash. In which, for NFS' case, the NFS community would get pissed off as much as the WRC community is, if not even *HARDER* because an anti-cheat would block mods and ban players that didn't actually change the game in any way other than maybe visual and audio improvements. Therefore, it would help console players to an extent, but it would make the game perform even worse in terms of Steam playercounts and ratings. It would be good for them to implement an anti-cheat, but in the long run, I don't think it would make any change to the game's overall current reception from the PC counterpart of the playerbase, if not even worse.

Take modern Call of Duty for example. Those games have an anti-cheat for both mods and the use of voice chat, but the way Activision and their studios constructed the anti-cheat was executed so poorly that not even saying any bad words during a session of voice chat with other players in a lobby can get you banned, either temporarily, or permanently. And this has been the case for several Call of Duty games now and they still get a shit load of backlash because of it. And that's not even the worst of the backlash, because the modern Call of Duty games themselves are just that shit to the point that modding or cheating in them games are actually justified. And whether people like it or not, there will always be a fuck tonne of cheaters during CoD rounds and no one at Activision even give a single fuck in the world to fix this. And there's my point about anti-cheat systems. And why I think money isn't the only reason why EA and/or Criterion Games won't implement an anti-cheat to NFS. However, this is just a headcanon of mine and I personally think that implementing an anti-cheat to NFS will be a double-edged sword. But whether this is an accurate thought or fact, is unknown. So I could be completely wrong here.

One thing about cheaters across every game is that they make it so obvious. Especially since I built and tested so many cars and engines myself

I’ve recently bought the game and I know it’s a bit embarrassing but I can’t get past the story I reach the first event and lose due to spinning out or getting hit by traffic. I’m typically first for the majority of the race but lose my entire progress due to some shitty feature haha.

As a small modder I can say: mods are not officially supported by EA so any mod is considered "altered game content", so... it's technically cheating. Even when modders will say as disclaimer to not use such content online, those mods DO DESCRIBE they work online... so the intention is already there. Sure you can make mods for offline only but almost no one will enjoy that. I'm not throwing anyone under de buss, I'm just saying good or bad mods are mostly meant to be used online and technically it is cheating. Thank you for the the good light you show for the modding community but for me at least, I know what I'm actually doing.

Cheaters are going to become a bigger problem if EA implements more cars with these new handling mechanics. The M3 The S5 The R8 If any of the future vehicles be like these three with the handling mechanics, any cheater can just use those cars and make the game not fun. I have nothing against meta users but I'm going to always have hatred for how easy it is to turn in those new Audi's and the fact that giving the r8 a V8 made it a dominant car. You pair these easy mechanics with a cheater and unlimited nitrous. THE GAME IS TOTALLY UNPLAYABLE. I even saw a cheater in PVP Hot pursuit and they were using the new M3 😒 they are already learning about the easy mechanics. The S5 can go in any class, that alone is a cheaters Paradise. Don't worry, the cheaters will definitely eat in EA's pocket when the casuals are not playing the game anymore and all of the pros are complaining about it to them.

It's not so often to encounter "cheaters". However, it's full with "cheesers". Every PVP lobby it's just 2-3 meta cars from each class and those people are also micro-dicking, moving like a snake and boosting for 90% of the race. But I guess this is how EA/Criterion "designed" the gameplay. It's just not fun for newcomers.

Cheaters are just phat kids living in mom's basment, today i defeated a cheater that was using the evija, he started a playlist with races with so many corners it was pretty easy with 918 spyder he kept missing almost every checkpoint desperate to pass me and my crewmate lol... but yeah... EA never cared about the cheating problem in NFS because cheaters are giving them money too unfortunately

This game very much needs an anti-cheat system, because PC players in PvP are cheating prevalently I came across quite a lot of those, most of them I've beaten with pure skill because they really don't know how to play the game at all. All I'm trying to do is go for the 250 wins in PvP Banner Title, but how can I do that when cheaters are pretty common there? This is why now, PvP is just an absolute joke. At this point, I'm probably gonna have to cave in and grind it out with a party of friends because I can't handle them anymore because they're absolutely cheap. When you constantly play legitimate, and some asshat is roaring down the road at the speed of light, and no matter what you do, they'd complete the race before you and everyone else. It's so demoralizing and rage-inducing to the point where you wanted to find out where that person lives and slap them across the face to give them some common sense to play the game legitimately. Seriously, people who have to cheat in NFS really have no lives. No, I ain't going to be a cheater just to get that, I ain't stooping to their pathetic ranks. Word of advice for people here: *don't be a n00b and use the cheat engine. It shows and proves NOTHING other than your lack of skill, lack of knowledge, and inability to play the game the intended way.*
