This makes me cry😢😭. Because I'm one of the people who are scared to move out of my comfort zone. I always think what society would say, I don't have courage, I don't believe in myself. I always said to myself I'm a loser but this video helps me a lot and I am so so grateful to watch this video. I'm gonna come back and give my fully gratitude to this video when I already overcome my self-doubt and fearness. Thank you so so much.

If you have a dream, take consistent action on working towards it and never give that dream up. 26 years of my life past me by, and it's not the end. God has given me so many obstacles to overcome, i honestly shouldn't be here but I am. life doesn't stop here folks, it's just the beginning, if I can change so can you. I was into drugs, gangs, violence. I was suicidal, I've had plenty of guns in my face and was fearless cause I was suicidal. I've even put a gun to my chin, but yet I'm here, and hopeful. don't lose sight of who you are. You all are amazing beautiful human beings. don't give up, keep pushing forward, and persevere.

I remember listening to this back in 2015... I was a young kid with ambitions fresh out of high school. I had ups and downs. but now it's 2022 going to 2023. And I look back at how far I've gone. How much I've learned and still learning. Im more financially stable. Got a beautiful wife and daughter. But still working on myself to get better and better everytime. This video really pushed me to get started in life. I would say I'm doing much better than when i first started adulthood. 💯🙏🏻

Ive been listening to these speeches for the last few years. After I graduated from HS, I went to community college and took as many classes as I could. I had classes in two different colleges on the same day, driving 40 minutes after one class and barely making it to the second. I had to take 15-18 units a semester, taking hard science and math classes at the same time. Some days I would be driving and I just wanted to quit. I just wanted to cry and give up. It took so much to keep going, I just kept listening to these speeches everytime I wanted to quit. I did this for 3 years, but when it was time for me to transfer, it was all worth it. I got into every single school i applied to as a biology major. When i first went to my CC counselor, she said I couldnt get into UCLA, there were others out there that took more classes and had better grades. Right now, I am typing this from Powell Library at UCLA. I will graduate from here in one year with a BS in Biology and I plan on pursuing medical school. I never thought I would be here, but I can tell you that if you put in the work, anything is possible. You can do it, you just have to work hard and never give up. I know its hard, some days I just want to break down, cry and run away, but its too late to give up now, I came too far. You can live your dreams too, just never give up and dont ever let anyone tell you that you cannot do it. The decision is yours.

I want to be a boxer, I grew up with no father and had always was the boy that was slightly made fun of at school. And I alway found it hard to fit in at times with social groups because of my autism. But I did have my friends around me. But my true purpose is clear, my great grandfather was a boxer called Robert in World War 2 and fought alongside many famous Scottish boxers at the time. I never met him. But before I was born. He said to my mother "if you have a son, name him Robbie and I want him to be a boxer for me." From this year. I decided that this was the direction I have to go in my life. This is my name. And this name was given after a great man who fought for my country. And with amazing inspirations around me such as him and Muhammad Ali who has also taught me multiple things about confidence and life. I feel that one day I will achieve great things. And I'll prove everyone wrong who thought bad of me. And I won't have my autism limit me. Ever.

My dream is to continue in this life impacting people around me in an uplifting and positive way. With the gifts and strengths that God has given me and to leave my old life behind me and how I was selfish and impacted people negatively out of my selfish wants and not worrying how it effected others. Just as long as I got what I wanted. No more do I live for me, but for others and to see their lives being blessed. Because our actions produce fruit in others lives we impact and there's two types of fruit. It's ether prosperity or destruction. What type of actions (seeds) are you planting into others lives? Are you helpful or destructive by your actions? People remember you by what you do, not what you say, because your ACTION speaks louder than what you say. The blessing is in the doing, not blowing hot air. "They don't even know you. You make people think of you by what you give them. Your life is your story. You have to be confident enough to write your own book..." People are going to love you or hate you ether way, that’ll never stop in this world. SO, DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT! Live life, love and be your self because life is too short to worry about what others think of you.

I remember when I was bedridden for months due to recovering from back surgery that I kept asking myself how I ended up in that position. Fortunately I was honest enough with myself to admit that I wasn't assertive enough and didn't stand up for myself when my spine was on the line. I found this video during that time and when Les spoke of the meaning of courage, it resonated with me and I resolved to be earnest going forward. It was hard at first, but like Les said, in sink or swim situation, one will develop incredible swimming skills. I have fully recovered and grown into a truly confident individual. Thank you for sharing this video, it literally changed my life. If someone reading this also struggles with being assertive, I empathize with you and want you to know that you're stronger than you know. I strongly encourage you to take that leap to be courageous; yes it's scary, yes it will hurt, yes you will offend people but with continuous application and subsequent reflection, on the other side of the journey is the best version of yourself and it's worth it.

I've been playing piano since I was 5. I love it. Piano is like a person for me... who has been there for me when I was broken, when I was happy... I always had a wonderful family. But I never thought that I was good enough, so as a spoiled brat, I stopped playing after highschool... thinking I had time. 4 years have passed. I did nothing. I see my friends graduating from Academy of arts. I regret that I thought that I have time... cause 2 years ago I lost my father to cancer, my family tore apart, being in that house you could feel the depression in every corner. I went though deep depression, the only thing I gained in these 2 years is weight.... I tried applying to Academy, but I was not accepted. But after everything I've been through, I stand again and again, and I will try everytime I fail. This spring I am going to apply to Acadamy of arts in Vienna... even though I don't have money, I will give my all to do good! Thank you @Motivational Madness ... Led Brown is another wonder, an enigma in motivational speeches of our time. At any time I listened to his speeches, I felt a new person in me; much confidence and greatness got into my innermost mind, to ginger and spur me into unimaginable momentum of visible actions to succeed in life. I love this life, because it is what you make out if it.

Andrew Nunn Try not to be scared of people's opinion But understand that is what will make you better. Sometimes when you hear people's opinion look at the positive side. If you look at the negative side it will make you scared and won't do you any good. It's not that we are trying to be mean, but the truth hurts and once the truth is spoken. Think for a minute and ask yourself question what was being said (because sometimes they'll do it to hate or get in your head.)and other times ask yourself is what he really is saying true or is it really just a load of bull.

Andrew Nunn Nice, my dream is to be a exterior car designer, but it's very competitive and the programs are pretty hard to find and the ones that do exist are hundreds of thousands of dollars just for the tuition and there's basically no financial aid or scholarships, like they have some scholarships and financial aid, but it's a very small amount relative to the cost of the program. So I simply can't afford to go to those schools. I went to a school in Pasadena and talked to the head of the program, when I showed him my portfolio, he basically said I couldn't make it, he said hard work is good, but it doesn't matter if you don't have the God given talent. Needless to say, that was one of hardest moments in my life. It felt like I had clawed my way out of a hole of depression, caught a glimpse of the sun, just to get thrown back into the bottom of the hole. Basically being told I wasn't good enough and that I wasn't rich enough to go to this school. So I'm trying to get a industrial design degree because some companies will acept that instead of a transportation design degree. At 23, I feel like life's past me by, but I'm going to continue to push through. I've wanted to do this since I was 2, I'm not giving up now, and when all else fails, I use my mentally disabled brother as inspiration, he's 16, he can't talk, bath himself, feel himself, go to the bathroom by himself, dress himself etc. I know that he'll never get the opportunities I have, so I need to make the most out of my circumstances, not just for myself , but for him as well.

If you don't mind me asking... Do you mean you think your own life is worthless or do you mean life in general?
@Okaybruhh8 жыл бұрын
Motivation Madness I guess both
@MotivationMadness8 жыл бұрын
Why do you think your life is worthless? I use to think that life in general was worthless too not too long ago. I thought to myself: why do we try to progress in education, relationships, work, anything... because what's it all for in the end? That's how I use to think personally, is that how you feel right now? I started to make motivational videos a while back to motivate myself and others when I felt like this and I started to see lots of people leaving comments on the videos about how they're going to chase dreams, make their families happy and how the videos might have helped them through a hard time etc. It really opened my mind to see what life is all about - each other. Will Smith says, “Your life will become better by making other lives better.” and it's so true :P And don't worry if you think you're not doing this already, as I'm sure by you simply being here today you're making somebody else's life better, easier or more enjoyable. If it's a spiritual reasoning behind why you might be thinking like this, this is what I tell myself; We may not know for certain why we exist or what our purpose is (as a species) but whilst we are here we might as well make the best of it and help as many people as possible, right? Why do you think your life is worthless?

Motivation Madness I just always had this thought in my mind. I believed that, there should be no reason for me to do things normal people do like work, hold jobs, make companies, etc. I always loved singing and drawing, and in my opinion im pretty good. The thing is, I struggle with anxiety and depression. So I hate facing crowds of people to sing in front of them in fear of rejection. But after I wimp out, I begin to feel terrible. And with drawing, I lose the motivation to every now and then. I figured, I cant get good jobs in those fields since its very difficult and I don't want to end up working at a job I hate. Pretty much, why waste your life on doing something you hate. Life is too short to waste it working. And I know this isnt a good mind set, but I can't seem to get out of it. That's why I feel my life is so worthless. I can't change it.

True joy is found in doing what you don’t want to do, but doing it with care and doing it to the fullest of your ability. It’s not about what you want. It’s about doing what others want, and most of all doing what God desires for you. Be grateful for where you are now. Be content with where you are now. Have joy in where you are now. If you desire change, evaluate your desire and be blameless and selfless in that desire. Do not always trust your feelings. Evaluate them. You are loved.

I love what he said about making yourself think that in everything that you do, the options can only be do or die. I believe that it is only in this way that you'll become so resourceful, creative, and determined to overcome your problems. Im really grateful I've watched this video. I told a girl exactly how I feel and was willing to accept whatever came to me. “Its too much pain to duck” stuck with me. Wait 5 years, wait 10 years, you're going to see a small little Serbian guy playing football at the Camp Nou of FC Barcelona. People call me weird, people call me antisocial, people call me an idiot for going to the football field in the rain at 8:30 pm, just 30 minutes after school and staying there until 2-3 am, by myself. dribbling around puddles of rain, shooting from afar to hit the crossbar, running as much as I can until I fall down and try to get myself up. And I do get myself up. And I do it all over and over again, until I see better performances from myself. I never had money to pay for Football practices and to play in a kids club, I never had a coach, I never had anyone, I did it all by myself and I can keep on doing it, and I will succeed. 16 years of age, been doing it for 8 years now. Half of my short life I've dedicated to this and I'm not gonna stop, no way. Whenever I come up against people who've been paying and training for the same time as me or longer, but with a coach, with equipment, with a training partner, I beat them, I dribble past them, I score past them. That's because I got something that they don't. I got passion. I feel it, they pay it, I spend my weekends on the field, they spend it in the club. They're going nowhere, I'm getting my dream, slowly, but I'm getting there, I swear to myself, I promise to myself, I'm doing it for me. Not for them, not for anybody, but for me. I'm gonna get this, I will. As unrealistic as it sounds for a little guy like me, without a club to make it, I will make it. Someone's gonna see me sooner or later, someone who wants me in their team one way or another, if it means they have to let me play for free, they're gonna let me play for free. And I'll move to the next step, to the bigger club, until I get to the biggest. FC Barcelona. If I believe in myself and believe in COINCIDENCE, I can do it. I will. Sorry for the long comment, thank you if you read it. :)

Higher-self I'm just putting my 2 cents out there cause I can and I'm not being sour, I'm just sharing my reality so when others go there they don't feel bad in not liking it. I've met many students that are in school because they're forced to for various reasons and when I share my experience with others I'm hoping they don't feel alone. Also, I'm moving out as soon as the semester I paid for is over, so I'm not staying. I'm reevaluating my own dreams. Also you just commented this somewhere: "My insecurities are not who I am more do they define me. They are Illusions of who I think I need to be to "belong." I am me and that makes me happy. " so you must understand where I'm coming from.
